Idiocy as usual. I've seen worse.. In Serbia, you're not allowed to have earbuds in your ear or talk on your cell while crossing the street. You have to carry about 100lbs of various safety and repair gear in your car and all of that gets inspected by bribe-hungry cops.

Playing with fairies and unicorns.. The tickets down there are steep, but the bribes are reasonable (about 10-20%), unless you've got a foreign DL, in which case the bribe goes up to 50% (don't ask me how I found out after making a very common mistake for out-of-town drivers in a poorly signed intersection)

It's going to get pretty tough to tell the regular BMW riders from the cops. Even here, riding a bike that looks nothing like a cop bike and wearing hi-viz that looks nothing like Toronto cop gear, I seem to occasionally be mistaken for a cop.

I point and they obey. I've had this happen many times when I'm trying to make a left from Shuter, onto Yonge south, when some dirtwad is holding everything up by trying to make an illegal right turn out of the mall parking structure, for example. I also had a family pull up next to me and ask if I was a "professional rider", whatever that means on the street :lol:
