No doubt, but if I had to choose one or the other I'd say Ford can have the buses all year round vs spending $1.1 BILLION dollars to get absolutely nothing.

And since we got both, there is still a test or gradient that gets applied. There is higher penalties for robbing a bank vs taking a pack of gum.....
 
It seems that the go to defense for Ford is that he's not the only crooked politician. That's lame.

And crack and heroin are more serious than weed.

But Rob for isn't running against the ontario Liberals.... its like comparing apples to space debris...

Nevertheless both are illegal under the CCC so why one is "accepted" and the other has people screaming blue murder is beyond me....

No comparison was being made. This thread has touched on all 3 major levels of government and my comment was about levels of damage as a result of politicians, for which there level of government is irrelevant. Rob Ford hasn't done $1.1 billion in damage to anybody in our province, and yet nobody is screaming about the hanging the Ont Libs in the town square.....

Because ones is on the brink of becoming socially accepted and probably legal if not decriminalized they also have completely different physiological affects. It takes time of societal norms to change.

People are screaming about not re-electing them same with Rob ford... he's not fit to be Mayor and the libs will pay for that scandal come election time.

Can i ask you a question is money the only factor you look at for your elected officials?

No where near at the same volume as with Ford. I certainly hope you are right about the prov libs next election but of course if history is correct, if we get someone else provincially we're likely to get someone else federally which would mean Justin which would be even worse for us overall.

Its a societal double standard. We apply it to alcohol as well that causes way more deaths and money that probably all the illegal drugs together.

Nope. You had difficulty understanding why people are more concerned with crack and heroin, than with pot. You're playing fast and loose with the facts just like Ford. Here's a refresh:

So when he says he saved a billion dollars when in fact he threw a billion away, you choose to believe him. Because he's so good with the truth, and facts and stuff. He'd have to be to be the "best mayor ever".

Is it BECAUSE he smoked crack that you like him? I mean he only has flaws, so which one is it that makes you a fan? If it turns out he ordered a hit on someone would you like him even more?
