First motorcycle

That was fast. You managed pretty well, it's seems. Just be mindful of basic maintenance on this one, but other than that... Enjoy and congratulations.
Carry on.
Let’s just say I’m pretty good at negotiating my mom was completely shocked I managed to talk my dad into it. Better yet I was so persuasive that I talked them into buying me out of my portion of the car giving me the $5k letting me put $1500 in and they are lending me the final $1300 for the bike so it’s fully paid for. I still have to pay for my portion of the insurance of the car so I can use it occasionally but I no longer owe any payments on the car to my parents

Not even gonna lie I have no clue how I did it like they were completely against it the day before and then by the next afternoon my mom went with me while I signed the paperwork for the bike and put down my deposit

Congrats! That was a quick sales pitch on the parents, well done! Enjoy! Perfect timing as well.
What can I say I was born to be a salesperson. Negotiated so fell went from them not wanting me to get a bike to them paying most of it by buying me out of my current car lmaooo

So initially it was between the Duke and the Adventure - what made you go with the RC?

Was at my M2 riding course good selection of bikes. They had a bike that was equivalent to the duke and one equivalent to the RC (shape wise) I didn’t mind the CB125 but the CBR125 I rode was just really comfortable I liked the way my legs felt agaisnt the tank. I know it’s a little small on me but it felt like a glove. Also sat on the RC 390 and it felt a lot better now that I know how to properly sit on a bike lol DF13C64C-FCA4-4610-BC4C-1C61DDE2F95F.jpeg

Also even though I’m pretty tall my natural relaxed position is curled up so something about the way those kinds of bikes feel fits me a lot better while riding. I liked how the pegs were a little further back and how when I was riding I was leaned forward more. I also tried a Honda rebel and immediately did not like it I didn’t like the foot pegs

Congrats. While it been quite a long time since I got my first bike, I do remember how exciting it was.

Enjoy, make sure you tag up for a few rides with the old timers congratulating you!

Niceeeeee. I always tell people that it's fast in the right hands, just not mine. This is my bikes third season and I cannot say I'm bored with it. RC390 forum has alot of info on our motors and mods even though it's not super active anymore. Duke390 forum is more active and there is alot of crossover between the bikes.
Enjoy!

Age means nothing to me when it comes to a chill ride. Once I get a little more comfortable I’d love to meet up for some rides though while you might not believe me I do plan to take things slow at first I’m not really much of a speed demon and I don’t have a death wish so likely you’ll find me going for some relaxing cruises to some great music
