First Bike Crash - Advice Required

What wrong with me? The kid is broke.. Can't afford **** and must pull a line to get services for free. if he can't afford a simple tow cause he cheaped out on insurance then there's other methods ie. tcc, pedal bike, etc., [probably wasn't or wearing china replica gear. sorry to say but this hobby is expensive,

I dont know about the hobby being expensive. maybe if you buy the latest and newest bikes and gear. A decent bike can be had for 3 to 4 grand be it super sport and standard. Decent used gear can be had for a couple hundred dollars. The only high cost is insurance. Overall its pretty much the cheapest moto sport I can think of. Maybe dirt bikes are cheaper to run but you cant ride to school or work with it.

It doesnt have to be expensive at all.

Respect to MLadin.

lol Kid is a poor student, no need to donate. Let him be man.

I remember the days when 50 bucks for me were a big deal, now its nothing but I know what poor student means

Second - what the hell is wrong with you posters dumping on this kid? He had a traumatic accident and broke his shoulder. Telling him he shouldn't be riding because he can't afford it??!! Really? What the hell is wrong with you?

+1

There are some real azzholes here. But it's better than 8-10 yrs ago when it seemed like everyone on gtam was a 19yo gixxer squid moron. :D

I've read all the comments and thank you so much for the support I've been provided here. For those who are arbitrarily assuming that I crashed because I wasn't wearing proper gear or that just because I'm riding an older bike are patently mistaken. I in fact was wearing riding gloves, jacket and shoes. Which is probably why I didn't sustain any injuries to my feet. Yes, as my first bike it is cheap but this doesn't necessarily mean it is in poor working condition. I have had it checked out my more than one mechanic and they have all approved it as a safe ride.

The error was on my part and from this I've learned a lot. I was never saying that my bike should've been towed for free, neither was I "pulling any lines" on here. I just posted up my story to see if paying $575 for towing was normal as I've never had to deal with tow companies before.

In any case, I just retrieved my bike from the yard but surprisingly the keys were lost during the crash. I tucked them to the side of the seat thinking they'd find them which they didn't. So I asked Nikko if I can leave the bike outside of the yard take the tank off take it to the lock clinic on st. Claire and bathurst and pick up the bike once I've the key. He was totally cool with this. I will be getting my key tomorrow which is when I'll pick it up.

I'll definitely donate however much I can when I get a chance, but I'll definitely give advice to any new riders I come across.

It definitely hurts when I sneeze, cough or even laugh too hard but it's starting to get better.

Thank you for all the support once again, especially to MLadin for helping me save over $175 :)

Your gas tank might not have enough tumblers in it to make a key that works in your ignition too.
