Haha. I taught her how to drive stick. It was rough. Thankfully we only needed enough lessons to get us out of an emergency we didn't need to get her all the way to proficient.
There's no shortage of us wops in Hamilton, but the pizza here is mostly dire. When the closest you can get to Neapolitan pizza for delivery is the Pi Co. chain in the Lime Ridge Mall, that says something.
Most Canadians (including those of distant Italian descent) seem to inexplicably prefer their pizza loaded with mystery meat toppings on a sugary sauce akin to ketchup on a thick dough and then buried under the carpenter's glue we call mozzarella here.
Granted, it's tough to truly replicate the Neapolitan variety without the fresh buffalo mozzarella and true San Marzano tomatoes. But you can do a decent facsimile. Not sure about the Tahitian variety, though. There are similar water buffalo in Asia, though I'm not sure they're useful for cheese...
Wife drives std , but last car she went auto , urban driving is too painful these days .
I think stick has its place in sports cars , because it’s fun in occasional use . You can always sell a 911 or boxer with a stick , it’s tradition .
Meanwhile in Tahiti , it’s France with palm trees , you should be eating like a champ Evo . Great restaurants. Weirdly I think I had the best pizza of my life in Tahiti, and yes I’ve been all over Italy .
Google “ wall of sharks “ fakarava , it’s not that far from where you are if you like interesting swims . We spent 3 days there before moving on , the tidal bowls inside the long gone volcanoes host 12 15ft manta rays . Crazy .
In fact I did teach her using the brand new tranny in the only new vehicle we,ve ever owned (1986 ford ranger). It was a little painful sitting there watching her thrash it while using every fibre of my being not to look up set. For the record both my kids passed their drivers test in a manual. (it was the only car we owned at the time)

My favourite stop was the Hilton tiki hut hotel with all the huts over water on stilts , happy hour was 1/2 price drinks and a rum and coke was still $8 . Place was packed with sugar grandads and 28 yr old rental dates . We would dingy in from our anchorage dodging coral heads and then try to find our way out with a flashlight on the bow. The concierge hated us , for good reason .
