Evo Got Hitched

Congrats.
At 30 + years in I can only over you this advice.
Don't wall paper a room together (is wallpaper even a thing still?)
Don't try to teach your wife to drive a stick
And always open a window before you start a motorbike in the house.
Haha. I taught her how to drive stick. It was rough. Thankfully we only needed enough lessons to get us out of an emergency we didn't need to get her all the way to proficient.

I tried to teach stick twice , then recruited brother to teach her , problem solved .

I’d add if you decide to degrease engine casings in the dishwasher and she says she’ll be gone for 6 hrs . Make sure she stays gone the 6 hrs……

I refuse to drive an automatic, which is THE major reason I won't get rid of my Elantra GT...not too many stick shift cars around anymore, and the ones that are out there are priced over what I would be willing to pay...

Tried to teach my wife on the Genesis 3.8....ended in tears and her getting out of the car and not getting back in. Si was easier, but after 5km she said 'eff this'...the WRX I didn't even bother.

We now have 2 automatics.

Find yourself a non-North American wife.

Everyone outside of North America knows how to drive stick.

That way you can fill your garage full of fun cars.
I wonder how long that will last. I am assuming europe is quickly transitioning to automatics of some form to hit fuel efficiency targets. Poorer countries probably don't have that luxury and will use stick as the default for many more years.

Yeah, well... thankfully, that's not my reality.

Wife has her own toys, and normally asks, "What's our next fun toy?" instead of, "WTF? Another one?!?!"
And further to the joke posted with the flowers and Akropovic, getting her fun bike parts brings joy for much longer than some stupid flowers.

In fact I did teach her using the brand new tranny in the only new vehicle we,ve ever owned (1986 ford ranger). It was a little painful sitting there watching her thrash it while using every fibre of my being not to look up set. For the record both my kids passed their drivers test in a manual. (it was the only car we owned at the time)

Wife drives std , but last car she went auto , urban driving is too painful these days .
I think stick has its place in sports cars , because it’s fun in occasional use . You can always sell a 911 or boxer with a stick , it’s tradition .

Meanwhile in Tahiti , it’s France with palm trees , you should be eating like a champ Evo . Great restaurants. Weirdly I think I had the best pizza of my life in Tahiti, and yes I’ve been all over Italy .
