Every Thursday night - Lakeshore and Leslie???

Quite a few people were there tonight... easily over a hundred bikes when we got there close to 10pm. Apparently the Price Chopper doesn't appreciate riders being in "their" lot after hours. Do they think we're scaring away the customers that aren't there after they close or something?

Let them call. As long as the blondie keeps coming back. :D

Showed up late last night after 2 classes at the studio (approx. 10pmish) only to be asked to leave, kindly, by one of 4 police cruisers...

Neighbors of the area are complaining of noise and smell, which I don't blame them considering how groups of us sometimes leave rev'ing it up...

However, To sum it up...Don't act like a ****** and we won't get kicked out of our beloved L&L =)

XOXO,
my 2 Sushi Cents (yes the girl...not the supposed "Sushii" boy)

So if you were out for a ride last night and wanted to stop at tims to buy a coffee, would they have let you in the parking lot or just not letting anyone?

I love my load pipes but folks if you want to roar around than save it for the highway or something. No need to be a douch. Do we really want to enforce the ****** rep bikers have with cagers? I get slack at work from time to time and they know me. Just shows how deep the impression some bikers have left.
I like L&L, as do many others. Please don't reck it.

As for the cops I have respect for them being as kind and respectable that they were. They weren't tossing tickets around or harrasing us but rather asked nicely that we be respectable.

Nah we are cool. Tims and Wendys love us.... imagine the business we bring. Its the grocery store (we apparently scare the customers) and the people living nearby.

Yup, the cops last night were very polite and weren't being hard assed about it at all. They made it quite clear that the issue is with the idiots who like to blast off down Lakeshore when leaving (and the occasional ones who just sit in the parking lot revving their engines). They were responding to complaints from local residents about the noise. So when you are at L&L, if it's before 9 make sure you park in the Timmies/Wendy's lot or at least in the back of the Price Chopper lot out of the way. After 9 when the Price Chopper closes it's ok to start using more of the lot.

And don't be making a ton of noise coming and going. The cops won't bother us if we're respectful of the neighborhood and the Price Chopper.

*round of applause* well put mister!!

Not only do the scooter guys show up, but last night someone had an awesome tricked-out Ruckus. I've never even seen one of those on the road before, so it was a blast seeing that little thing all decked out. Although, I'd be scared riding next to anything significantly taller/larger than it... ie, a car. :p

As the area becomes more gentrified and wealthy the complaints will increase, noise or no noise. The cops respond to affluent complaints more seriously. Watch and see, L&L will be shut down within a couple years.

I used to go to this meet for a couple years until the Police started to turn people away, then start ticketing anyone who stopped. The meet had been going on for nearly 50 years, but was shut down 2 years after some posh folks moved in.

This bridge was a wheelie, burn out festival and cops always looked the other way, hell cop riders would even come join in! It was only when the new wealthy residents moved in that cops gave a damn about enforcing any laws.

RIP Chelsea Bridge meets!

A 3 yr old on a tricycle is taller than that dude! The tallest part of the scooter was no more than 24" tall.

Great comparison...

I find it funny how y'all are calling the guys ripping it out of L&L "*******", "********", "idiots" etc... While I do agree that you should ride with respect around residential areas at night, I think y'all are being hypocritical. You have never ridden past any residence and opened your bike up? What do you ride... a vespa? Stop jumping on the Pig bandwagon. Yes, tone it down at L&L so we can continue to return there every Thursday, but don't be a ********** running around calling "those riders" ********. You KNOW you are guilty of it too.

rant over

Couple riders from Niagara will be turning up this thursday. :)

Hi All. I just joined GTAM, but I've been a rider for many years out west (Calgary). What time is the ride tonight? i'd love to join/meet some folks tonight. cheers.

Actually I try to be as considerate I can. If I have ever it was because of:
A: I didnt realize that it was a place people live (I live in an area of warehouses and apparently a few more than I thought are modified as apartments)
B: Someone was doing something stupid and this is my "I dont want to die you fking bugger" rant
