Every Thursday Group ride. Steels and finacial dr Mississauga

What time do you finish? Just need to know if it is dark or not so I can determin if I have to pull the clear visor out of storage.

I usually get back home around 10pm. That's after hanging around a bit when the ride is finished.

I'd bust out the clear visor and also some sun glasses if you have, because when that sun is setting, it can be blinding.

See you tonight!

Donno what happened but I showed up at loc as stated on first page of thread at 6:50... waited till 7:15 nobody showed up... Got ****** off and left :( Did you guys change location or just show up really late? Was getting bored of standing there for 1/2 hour.

Yeah, maybe they should edit the front page or something. It got changed to 6:30pm. Not many rides left anyway.

Anyway, twice in one season.. wtf is wrong with me? At least gear kept right knee from looking like my left. =p

The icon gloves held up much better than the joe rocket gloves.. but maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was a dirt road and not cement.

I am ****** that I went down like this. I wish I could have learned something about the bike, but all I learned was that I can't see shiet at night.. and I already knew that!

So what happened, I was way behind, playing catch up, had throttle open and gaining speed... oh, the road infront of me is ending and there is through traffic.. I slam on the brakes.. and oh, now the road under me isn't paved... front tire locks up and down I go.

I mmmmaybe could have stopped in time if the road was paved.

right mirror crack
back brake lever gone
front brake lever bent
lower fairing rash
upper fairing rash (matches the left now =)
right side engine rash
right side exaust rash (again, mataches left now)
The worse is that the handle bars are bent, I have to keep it turned left to go straight.
Oh and the bike feels really funny when I use the front brake.

That's it for me this season. I am putting her away and getting to work early on repairs.

See you guys next season!

Try not to play catch up, safer for you to ride your own ride and a pace you are comfortable with.

As long as the rider comes out ok it is all good.

It was nice to get back out on those roads again this year. Riding days are getting shorter.

everyone, come out for this one,............... thurs (18th)

Well that was a fun ride first time I actually managed to come out in group since I got the bike. Can you post the route we did, since I have no friggin idea where the hell we were riding though. Might wanna take a ride through there with my gf later on. Getting chilly out there tho. Was so weird, temp dropped to like 8C when we were out in orangeville, by the time I got back to Toronto it was 15C. Not sure if it's the lake or all the polution but it was nice to be warm(er)...

Are we doing this this next week or calling it for the season?

Hey Macsux, you missed one of the ground rules: the route does not get posted, and in any case it's not the same two weeks in a row ... Less of the wrong kind of attention that way. I'll let my friend Steve know that you're taking good care of his old bike!

We normally keep going as long as we have tolerable weather. When darkness comes before 7:00, I usually call it quits, I don't like doing backroads in the dark.

I don't care if it's dark @ 7:00. I'll still ride if it's above 0.

Damn right brotha !!!!!

that is why you wear gear to protect you from fallin but most important the weather, cause there is no fallin here ...hehehhee

im down for this week .. :happy3::rolleyes::happy3::rolleyes:

Hey guys.

Can someone please message me some details for this evening get together.

I know my friend and I really want to get out and meet some of the people on this website and it seems like this is the only active forum post so far.

So yeah, I'd really appreciate it if someone can send me some directions, and information, :)

Thanks everyone

If you read back a few posts, you will find the time. If you read the title of the thread, you will find the place. And that's all you need to know!

The core group is mostly mature sport riders who are interested in keeping our driver's licenses. Absolute noobs will have a problem with the pace (although sometimes I bring my CBR125). Squidiots are not welcome.

I am 50/50 for this Thursday, because I have a race weekend at Shannonville to get ready for. But, someone will be there.

gonna try to show up for this ride if you guyz are still having it so its still meet at 7??

NNNNOOOOooooo ... 6:30 is departure, which means better be there before that, it's getting dark early.

I'm good for tonight, unless the customer I'm about to go see collars me.
