Please read the link I posted.
I mean, really read it.
We had only 1 small crash last year, and I hope to reduce that this year.

Maybe we need to go over the ground rules (again) before the season starts.

The facts: We don't want to deal with picking up crashed bikes and riders, and we want to keep our bikes and driver's licenses. So, you need to know how to ride, and you need to not be a squidiot. The core group are mostly mature, experienced sport riders. Full gear strongly recommended. Nasty, obnoxious exhaust systems are discouraged. This is the same as last year, and the same as the year before that ... http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?p=779513#post779513

Having done just about every group ride last year I can say these are some of the best group of riders on GTAM. Not recommended for noobs or attention seekers. you simply need to be able to ride and ride well.

I did a little spot check of road conditions today (excuse to go riding). Main roads are in decent shape. The entertaining little backroads are mostly covered in sand. Almost all of them have at least stripes of sand between the car wheel tracks, just to mess you up. A lot of intersections are a mess of sand everywhere as you come up to stop signs ... whoooooaaaa, get on that rear brake.

question..
If you just want to mingle and meet fellow riders to get tips and stuff and not ride afterwards. is it ok to go this meet? (I'm a newb rider and I know my limit for now)

Hi Flip

Of course you could come by to chat. You may have more luck at some of the bike nights though. Check this forum for bike nights. Shopsy put on quite a few last year. There is also a good one in Woodbridge for Italian ice cream. You will meet more people and even join up for some future rides.

I'll be out this year, no bike. To busy leaving half way through the summer to bother paying for insurance. I'll see you guys out and about on my two wheels ( my legs ) I max out at about 30kmh on these babies. Maybe I can keep up with Rob (LD) on his Busa or Brian on the 125 :P

Nice ride tonight guys, I can't believe how warm it was even after the sun went down.

Yup. Those who didn't come missed some decent riding.

Too bad suckas.

Hey guys(Low Rider)...is this ride on for Mar.25/10?...looks like high of 10 Deg.C.

Forecast that I'm looking at calls for a high of only 7 on Thursday and a low of -4. We will have to make the call on that day. If it stays like that, too cold for this puppy.

yeah, I feel the same. But lets wait till Thursday to make the call.

yup, I agree....a high of +7 could mean about +4 or 5 by 6:00pm but,.....if you do decide to go I will dress for it and be there!
