Serious question - do you have to wear a cup for that? Looks painful.

I bet if I tried that my shoulder would rip out of my socket.
Haha. I rode a mechanical bull before (drinking was involved) and the next morning it took me quite a while to figure out why I had huge bruises on the inside of my thighs. Using your thighs to clamp your hand and help you stay on is a bad idea.

I used to go to a bar where the main attraction was a mechanical bull. This is decades ago in Manchester UK. Loved that place!

The one I tried was in the hammer. It is interesting, but if the person controlling the knobs wants you off, you are coming off and there is not much you can do about it. Basically you are just watching a clock tick until they decide you are done. I don't think skill or experience can keep you on if the operator decides to crank all the dials hard over.

Damn Brits..always doing it wrong.

No. Would be worse to wear a cup. Imagine you get bucked and the cup moves and then you land on the bulls back with the cup like a guillotine on your balls. Not good. Biggest problem is when you get bucked off you have to run to the fence and climb it fast cause the bull will turn and try to smash you. super fun though

True ....mechanical bull is way different and actually harder to stay on in some ways...except spurring a mechanical bull doesnt piss it off

Interesting. How long did you last on it?

I'm with KLR.

There's a certain segment of society right now who are getting their kicks instilling fear about vaccines.

It's really important right now to get your facts from reputable sources. Random person on Twitter who believes in batshit crazy conspiracy theories (Q), probably not the best reputable source.
I have a memory issue, and I don't subscribe to QAnon., so the most effective way for me, is to just fact check everything that everyone here posts. Some may be trying to be malicious, some are expressing their bias or political beliefs. Most I assume are trying to be helpful, but all have been wrong in the past and will be wrong in the future. We need to be careful with what we say and what we let by our defenses in this day and age.
There are so many half truths flying around that at times everything appears as part of a conspiracy theory. Many of them are well intended, but erroneous. Double check what you are going to say, and make sure that it's as accurate and truthful as possible. Someone will look at it and find the errors, this is the age of the internet.

I think it was a Ride for Sight where they once brought a mechanical bull. The kid running it didn't believe us when we told him he was likely to have girl go topless. Boom one or to riders later out came the juggs.

hers or yours

J&J vaccines are now on hold

Some question on their quality given they came out of a problematic facility.

I see these sorts of things as well as the fact they’re upfront about it (vs trying to hide things or obscure reasons) as a positive thing.

Still ruminating on the original post's question.
At one point I was thinking of culture, but there are many different aspects to culture.
Some people are poor timewise & resoucewise as well as moneywise; that's part of their culture, and they will react accordingly.
If Corona is aerosol as suspected, it's possible to get it from a place like an elevator.
If you live on the 18th floor of a building, with several other people, you're going to have to use the elevator.

Here's a couple of other things to think about:

Old article on Salk, the polio vaccine and the Cutter incident: What Really Happened With the “Cutter Incident,” When a Bad Batch of Polio Vaccine Paralyzed Kids

Imgur meme on Corona that has some truth to it, now if not before:

This would be fun in court.
I wonder if that would also apply to the freedumb fighters organizing constant mask-free protests? It would seem possible. The guy in Barrie has had 200 to 1000+ out every week for over a month.
