Ducati Demo Day at GP BIkes on THursday July 21 2011

But but mines on the day. Doesn't he want to give me a present?

Mr. YamaSaki says you should try your luck. Maybe he will give you a special present. Wear your pink jacket and helmet.

Does anyone want to ride a Ducati in 40 degree heat anyway. I can tell you first hand its not pleasant

went and had a BLAST...rode the matte black 848 with the termi pipes...red white black monster 796 with termi pipes and LOVE BOTH!!!...to bad for ppl who missed out!!

PS. thumbs up to GP bikes, for lending me riding boots. Went to the ride thinking they wouldnt care (like other demo rides ive been to didnt care) but wouldnt let me on without riding boots that covered the ankels. Will definetly return to GP bikes for my future purchases...hopefully the monster with the corsa kit and termi pipes WOOT WOOT.

Well, if your boots aren't all the way up your ankle you cannot ride. (ie. motorcycle boots)
I had work boots that cover my ankle and they said i couldnt ride

I kinda felt discriminated against cause i look young and not a majority skin colour too; they didnt check any of the other riders when they registered, they just asked and took their word (btw, im 24, male, GM license and been riding for 8-9years)

so coming from Oakville, its an hour drive through traffic and then two hours back.

Thanks for nothing GPBikes

yup, when things dont go your way, just blame it on skin color. lol

believe it or not it does happen. some overstate it but it does.

ie: another poster was loaned boots for the ride.

try walking into an acura dealership in ajax or toyota in markham see if anyone says even hi if you look like u spent too much time in the sun.

i'm not one to pull that card but sometimes you know.
sorry to say but if you are of fairer tone its probably something you never experienced.

Take a pic of your boots while you are wearing them.Lets have a look.

I have a hard time believing there was racial discrimination coming from GP Bikes. Every time I go to that shop, I see people of different sizes, ages, colours, sexes etc. riding all sorts of bike classes.

I certainly hope GP Bikes is not being discriminate.

Now, as for why one guy was offered a loaner pair of boots and not the other, I can't say. It must have been dealings with different people.

Dude, I'm brown, and I have an idea of what you're talking about. However, I would turn you away with work boots too. They're almost as useless as running shoes.

Also, I've spent enough time in the US, and I've even been in the deep south. It's there, but honestly, most people are just plain friendly. Never had a problem. It helped having white folk with me, but even on my own I was fine I swear!
