Dropped my bike today :(

I started on an older 600 and if it weren't for my 32" inseam i definitely would have dropped my bike at a stand still at least a dozen times in my first season, when you're new sometimes you just lose your balance but with long legs you can usually save it. I wouldn't feel bad about losing your balance at a stop, it's probably going to happen a few more times this season being that you're real short, you'll get the hang of just putting one foot down

Thank you! It helps more than you know to hear I am one of many people who would struggle with such things as I often have overly high expectations. I have short legs, but luckily a big butt to land on when I dump myself on the ground. That being said I am seriously considering getting the seat shaved...I have enough padding anyways:rolleyes:

What you need is 25 guys watching and judging your riding style in a parking lot.

Okay, I will go put on my lululemon pants and hop on my bike, they are considered decent riding pants right? :p

TNA or lululeemon are just fine!

I'll grab my camera and meet you ... :p

Wow i knew the monsters were small but i've never sat on one. You must be really tiny to just be tip toeing on that thing, online it says seat height is an inch lower then a 250! you probably wouldn't be better on a smaller displacement bike then lol. Posting a picture of yourself geared up and on the bike would probably keep these wolves drooling...

Yeah, one of the things I liked about monsters is that they are low. I don't know about looking alright when dressed to ride, besides the way my butt sticks out when I sit on my bike I was told I look silly in my gear, haha!!

not as silly as a rashed ass

I dropped my SV1000 one day just as I pulled onto a soft shoulder that was on a downward slope to a ditch. In my adrenalin surge I completely forgot to put it in gear and so just as I got it upright it did a slow roll into the ditch and plunked down again. Where it was there was no way to get my back to it so I had to wait there like an idiot for someone to come along and help me get the beast back up. The old guy who stopped thought I'd hit a deer and gone down. Lesson: make sure it's not going to roll anywhere!! Also, if someone thinks you went down from hitting a deer it's way cooler than admitting you fell because you weren't paying attention ....

I dropped mine in a very silly spot. It fell over into my garden, over the wooden layered spot. So it was literally wheels to the sky lol. was not fun to lift that out.
Welcome to the club
