She was still only 3 weeks old. Thankfully she's all fixed and pretty again.

That sucks. Brings back bad memories of mine.

that sucks.. what happened?

edit: mean was it a wheelie or something? or just tire sliping

Any damage?

There is a real purdy scratch on the ****** plastic windshield, cracked mirror and the shifter is bent, and I had to pull my jeans out from where they were embedded into my skin but otherwise she started up like a champ. Bike was ****ing pristine when I got it even at 4 yrs old so the biggest damage is my cheapass ego.

Way to invite!! you know we are not just here to help with the bike but also to empty the bottle!! and at times for company too...

Where you at?! Let's meet and drink away my sorrows!

Thanks, you guys are so kind :) And wow! that ****ing sucks ********!!! Glad she's all better now!

I knew I should have started with a used 250 or something but I couldn't pass up the deal on this bike as I love a bargain. Luckily there looks to be nothing major damaged.

.

That really sucks Red.:(

Nothing to do now but add more alcohol to ease the pain.

I just dropped my bike, in gravel :( What a crappy feeling. And I could not get it back up. So I called my dad and he yelled at me extensively. This is why I like this forum. I feel like I am in good company at least.

Dropped or had a small off? It's a really good thing to learn how to handle riding on dirt/gravel as you will come across it at some point in your riding career, but regardless a downed bike in gravel can be extremely hard to pick up because when you go to lift by the bars/tank the front just slides out. When i lived in edmonton i'd hear stories about someone trying to take their bike out in the spring as soon as the main roads had cleared, but the side streets were still covered in snow/ice. If you drop your bike on ice it can take 2-3 people to help get it back up.

I dropped my bike in the pits at TMP..stupid short fat *** couldn't get over the seat! After my initial rage passed, I was able to carry on with only minor embarassment. Meh..these things happen..no harm, no foul. :)

I dunno, it was big chunky gravel on a laneway to a parking lot and I figured go slow, I put my foot down and the bike went over too far and my foot slid trying to hold it up. It is all due to inexperience I am sure. Next thing you know I am pulling myself out from under it. Crappy. My dad was like, "never go slow, that was a mistake, always go fast and you won't screw up" haha!!! He's so funny. He also said I will probably not die because I am clearly afraid of going too fast

Drink doesn't mean booze necessarily...unless you need to be liquored up to chat with the girlz... :p

I am pretty sure she is not draining her pain of dropping the bike on ice-tea and cookies!!

So you were still rolling or were attempting to stop? Going slow IMO is probably the hardest skill to master on a bike, its way harder then dragging knee or doing wheelies. If you weren't trying to stop putting your foot down was probably a bad decision lol. Have you taken the basic rider course as part of getting your license? because having a base set of skills is super important if you plan on being on 2 wheels.

It does happen to all of us tho, i lived in a house with a high curb going onto the street, wasn't a big deal but just early in the morning not paying attention, leaned a little the wrong way as i was turning the bars to full lock and suddenly i was tipping over. Next thing you know i'm on my butt on the street looking at my bike sitting on its side thinking did that really just happen?!

Guy who ran the race school out west almost dumped his wife's monster because he forgot to lift the kick stand when wheeling it out of the garage. Stuff happens.
