So.. I had my bike parked in the garage, and I was moving things around and... an over hanging ladder fell on my bike, the corner of the gas tank got a bit dinged up,

any suggestions on how to tackle this? do I...

Replace the tank?

bring it to a body shop?

wrap vinyl over the whole tank?

Try to touch it up with some touch up paint?

The tank suffered from minor dent, and the paint suffered a few chips.

Or sell it and get a new bike? Lol

Some china bodywork kits come with a cover that goes over the entire tank (so that you can change the colour of the whole bike without having to paint the tank). Send em some e-mails and see if you can buy just the cover.

Seriously though, a pic of the damage would help. Dents can be bent back. I assume your bike is otherwise pristine?

Cool thanks, would you happen to know of any made in China bodywork kits?

Maybe use the thick PlastiDip to make tear drops from the dent down? Give it character. I attempted something like that with Tremclad paint back in the day. I'm not much of an artist but it did look artsy fartsy. Some thought it looked like toothpaste and I also overheard somebody mention cum shots. So it worked out ok.

Lmao!!

I was actually thinking of getting those JDM bandaid stickers to apply over the dent

2007 Yamaha R6
A quick search on ebay didn't reveal any specific tank covers for your year R6. Search for fairing kits on ebay and see which ones come with the entire tank cover and send them a message to find out how much just for that. What colour is your bike?

Opps I realized there are 2 same pics up there Lol, but yah you can see its not dented too too badly, just the paint is a bit chiped up

It's not 'tank covers'. Some bikes like CBRs have OEM plastic cover on top of the tank, so if you want to change your bike's color, you don't need to change a tank, just change a cover together with fairings. If R6 did not come with tank fairing, then it will be tough to find one.

Yah. The r6 tank fairing only covers half the tank.
