Driving a car in bare feet

Is it illegal to drive without a shirt? (Male)

At Wasaga beach 2 years ago, I cop pulled me over and gave me a "warning" and to put my shirt on. I was actually moving to another parking lot to meet with others

I don't think so. Keep in mind females can be topless in Ontario so the law would apply equally.

Barefoot driving will not give you a 'better feel' or better control. The skin of your foot is slippery, and the sides of your foot curve giving no real traction, the sole of a shoe sticks better and has far more surface area on the pedal. Common sense, it doesn't require any deep thought on the subject. Driving barefoot feels stupid, looks stupid, and is stupid.

I see in some states it's illegal to ride your motorcycle in bare feet! Is there a similar law here??

How could you even do this? I've tried to move bikes barefoot a couple times, and I can't budge the shifter at all with the top of my foot. Had to pull it up by hand.

It's doable.
I rode in sandals once, shifter was only making contact with my skin. It grinded into my skin and tore the skin off, made it bleed.

I do it when I have thick soled shoes, heels or flip flops on cause it just feels safer. I do try to keep a pair of shoes in the car for this purpose though. My favorite to drive in is the thin soled Puma's.

Thinking this is more of an manual drive car issue than an automatic drive car issue as I drive automatic cars at work with thick soled boots and have no issue what so ever.

It's amazing that people can even walk in bare feet, them being so slippery and all. HAHAHA

I drive without flip flops, but I'm not going to bother taking shoes off.

Do you shower in your shoes too?
