I put a ton of miles on my FZ6 and then got a 2nd gen FZ1, wasn't nearly as huge a fan of the FZ1.
- Gobs of power to the point that it was way too much for city riding. First gear will take you up to 140 or so. Even with a 1 down front sprocket there just isn't much need to shift when in the city
- It is way more cramped than the FZ6. Not bad for local rides but too tight in the knees for long days
- Small fuel tank for touring, I think when cruising fuel light would come on at 200 and be completely out at about 260. That drops significantly if riding aggressively
- The Givi V35 panniers that fit the bike beautifully are useless as panniers. The moulded shape makes it near impossible to fit a lot of things in
It was a super fun bike in many ways, just not practical and would probably lead to many tickets if I had it much longer.
Since made the move the ADV style bikes and have zero regrets. Similar riding position to the FZ6, way more storage capacity, and touring accessory options
