You would make a great host for the view, seems you have the same mindset. ;)

I wouldn't know, I don't watch chic shows. I'll have to take your word for it, I guess.

Had to Google it. Again, more pop culture cotton candy you seem to be familiar with.

8 pages of hearsay and strawmen and off to 'trash talk'
Poll sits split even.

Yup.... sums up the election.
What else did you expect from a political thread on GTAM?

Thankfully today (on election day) the weather will be good so most of these teenage girls will be riding their bikes.

Had a deep nap and late coffee so might be all nighter watching it unfold. CNN sez 6 hours til they go live. Was going riding but ...

Guess I will read. 🍿
Actually US weather is pretty bad.
Trump should be worried about this stock market indicator

You have a low bar my friend.
I love this one. When teleprompter messes up she can't even go 30 seconds off the cuff.
The icing on the cake is Female rapper, Cardi B endorsing her who has openly admitted to drugging and robbing money off of men back when she worked as a stripper. If that was a male, their career would've been over the next day.

She sounds fine to me.
As an adult educator I experimented with various tactical approaches to delivering lessons. One challenge many speakers face is delivering in areas where they lack expertise or experience. A technique some speakers use is to switch the audience from active listening to passive listening. When active listening, the listener is processing what they hear, and gathering the meaning of the words. In passive listening, the audience doesn't process the meaning of the words, instead the brain switches to scanning for cues and keywords that will trigger a response or switch back to active listening. Passive listening dulls the audience's processing and challenges -- because they weren't processing.

An effective way to switch people to passive listening is to speak using word salads (there are other ways - rambling, nagging, overly technical explanations, too much information). Speakers use speak to tune out the audience, and a lot of body movements to keep the listener engaged. Kamala is good at this, (if you ever watch Jordan Peterson, he's expert with this technique).

Speakers can snap the audience back quickly because active listening is triggers with keywords, yelling, crescendo, and exaggerated body movements like a fistpump.

Kamala does this because she's not an expert in all the content or policies she speaks about. She’s also not great at responding to challenges. This technique does not work on media.

We may know tomorrow which form of pain we’ll be dealing with. Interesting times, interesting times.
Just got back from a Shaun Majumder gig and he spent an inordinate amount of time discussing grabbing kitty cats. Might have cut it short to watch the election, as he lives down there now.

Hopefully, by the time Jeremy Hotz arrives, the election stuff will have died down.

Edit: it only went for an hour or less and the last bit was four or five YouTube videos he put up on a screen of some of his old stuff. Does that seem short for a solo standup at a theatre?

I went to high school with Shaun. He was always a really nice guy and happy to see him do well.
