Hey now! I see I dog in there that isn't yours! ;)

The greyhound in the racing collar is Bella. Bella is a retired racer with over 120 races, she was born in Iowa, and raced in Birmingham, Alabama. Greyhounds make fabulous pets, they are called the 45 mph couch potatoes...they are sprinters, that loves going nuts for a minute at a time.

Thousands of greyhounds retire each year, please consider adopting a retired racer. A great group in Toronto: http://www.meetgina.ca/

love watching greyhounds run. Ever so graceful and quick. I once heard somewhere that it is extremely difficult to train them to go down a staircase, is this true?

Logan Shed 3.jpg

That's Logan, sadly he's no longer with us.
He was rescued at 2 and made it to about 13.
Best guess is he was a mix of GSD, Rough Collie or Golden, Chow or possibly even Leonberger

Nope, I taught Bella in less than an hour. Most greyhounds are very attached to people once you adopt them, they will follow you everywhere, so they want to be with you if you go up the stairs. Ever been to Calabogie? Those open steep stairs will scare most people, let alone dogs...Bella climbed right up, although she was quite bored with watching bikes go around and around, she doesn't get it why there's no bunny to chase. :p

FIFA, the little cat the Americans found that they gave me and I hid for several days before finding her a home with the supply guys. She is now in Ottawa with the Sgt who really gets the credit for saving her.
