Did you exercise today?

Are you experiencing it?
I'm experiencing symptoms I've never had before. Not sure it's DOMs... trying to figure out a pattern on what might be causing the symptoms.

no offense man but the only thing that causes symptoms are being out of shape

Man that's harsh. The polite way of saying it would be that its your bodies way of telling you that it is recovering from unaccustomed stress.
Perhaps ease up a little as you proceed.

I didn’t want him to think he’s got a serious medical condition or anything

No...I don't think that's the problem.

I normally swim twice a week, and can do almost 2000m in 1hour. My endurance is going down to about 1500m in the same period, and now my body shuts down after.

But it's not only when I exercise...when I eat certain foods, like grapefruit, it's like my blood pressure drops (down to 130/59).

That's why I don't think it's DOMs.

Grapefruits can interact with a lot of meds.

That's not doms.

Not sure what happened but I fell Off the wagon hard. Wether it’s stress, life, or something else a few people have told me my stomach has grown a lot in the last month…

Time to refocus and figure out wtf is causing me to eat so much.

Full…and yet I’ll keep eating.

And this one I can’t blame on my MILs delicious baguettes that she made today…of which I ate 2….

Emotional eating?
pain is the best teacher, people don’t really learn until they have some decent Health scare.

Then they become psychos like me who exercise on vacations.

Your last post a while ago.. about not feeling good.. recovering...
I think you should consider if you were 'over-training'.. That would explain the not recovering, the aches, decrease in motivation, etc..

Not sure which thread to post in, but I’m in the DR right now, at a resort, found a good gym.

Got in some good core training and weights, wanted to do some cardio but I just got some ink and the artist told me not to sweat too much

It’s not a vacation because babushka is here and I don’t get the chance to leave the resort

What a great thread, thanks for all these inspiring/informative/honest posts. After years of being away from physical activity (swimming, then running, then martial arts), I'm back to it at a power yoga studio. I'm finding it to be great workout that combines strength, flexibility, and focus though it might be too hot for some. I did their one-month intro special to see if I liked it. Tbh, it is pricey, but I decided it was working for me, so signed up. Don't mind the standard doms, but the insomnia is tricky (time of day isn't a factor). Anyone else experience insomnia after working out?

If it persists try some CBD. Should be effective with no or minimal side effects.

I ate and drank like a pig today…that count as exercise lol?

But it was all delicious!
