Cyclist - Friends or Foe?

Well Youtube usually supplies similar links at the end of play so if you watch it to the end, you'll likely find more.

He was done long before that.

I'll admit that if I rode a bicycle in Toronto I might start hating everyone and turn into a huge ******* then do all those things cyclists do that infuriate other drivers.

Cyclists hate drivers, drivers hate cyclists. It's the circle of life.

A stop light is a stop light and it applies equally to powered vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.

Yeah. Sure. Lol. I'll remember that next time I'm riding to work at 5:30am and can see half a click down bramalea rd. I'll be sure to stand there and wait for the magic green light. Oh yeah, I'll also stand there on my motorbike in the same scenario while waiting for the sensor to never see me.

It's the drunken downhillers with no race that weekend that you have to watch out for. They zig-zag across the street, jumping off stairs and stuff. They'll ride right over you, especially if they've just come from the Bull.

The vast majority of lights on Bramalea Road are timed, not sensored. You wouldn't be waiting long, if you had any patience at all. Not waiting just shows selfishness. I've spent my fair share of time waiting for lights along Bramalea Road, over the last 40 years.

The chicken and the egg: Who started pissing off who first? I hear far too many cyclists say that they have never bothered to stop for stop signs and I see far too many riding on sidewalks, just 6 feet away from a bicycle lane on the road.

And your onboard videos show far too many drivers that aren't too interested in following the rules of the road or paying attention either.

I think it's a chicken and egg, not or egg. Cyclists and drivers became ******** over the same period of time because it's people in general who have become ********. People think motorcyclists are ******** too, and we think drivers and cyclists are ********.

In closing, everyone is an *******.

Don't get me wrong here; I think that there are also far too many drivers out there who are selfish and don't care that the rules were created to make everyone's life easier. I do, however, think that there is a far higher percentage of cyclists fall into the bad category. At least that's my experience, after 16 years of driving into the downtown core. For example how many cyclists don't think that one way signs apply to them, let alone stop signs?

.

Negative.

Waiting at 530am for light to change. On empty road? While cycling? LOL. Not bloody likely.

How is it selfish to ignore the traffic engineer guy who set the timing of those lights from an office 20 km away 20 years earlier, using estimates of car traffic through the area at rush hour? Especially when the whole risk is the rider's, if he gets caught by a cop.

Not at all, if all of those assumptions are true. They aren't.

You got me. I don't know how far away the engineer's office was when he set the timing of those lights, or how long ago.

I have shamed my family and my village with my outrageous untruths. I will commit seppuku in the morning.

And there shall be none to behead you, to keep you from further shaming yourself.
