Crappy Parker's Thread

I felt that since I'm off today, it would be a nice day to get baked and go for a walk. All was going well until I came upon this house:

I thought to myself, "Ah ****, I'm handicapped, how am I going to get across? Guess I'll go walk over the curb, on the grass and around." Thank god I'm not in a wheel chair cause this would have been a major ***** to get around... Would have to go on the road...

Saw a purple older CBR600RR missing the right tail fairing down a few houses. I think he was doing roofing on the other side of the road xD (I SAW YOU!)

I come across this too often in my neighbourhood. I want to borrow a mobility scooter, ride it up to the persons house, drive onto their lawn then throw the thing over on top of myself like I crashed and start flailing around... I figure that would stir up some good crap and make the parker feel like utter do_uche bag

Can You Park Better Than a Redneck?

It would be faster for me to photograph those who DID park between the lines here.

im not going to purposely ding a door, But if someone parks so close to me that its a struggle to get in. I dont care if their car gets marked.

And you are an example of why I don't buy brand new. I don't want to care about a silly scratch in my car.

Take some pictures on your phone.
If you get dinged, go fill out a form at the Reporting station with all the info.

I like to park within the lines, even if others are laissez faire about them.
Because the problem is that if they leave before you, then you look like the fool.
It's only been a couple of times that I've had to use the hatch to access to the driver's seat.

how would I look like the Fool If they park over their Line, and I park in the middle ?

once they leave, Im still in the middle.
again, Im not going to purposely Ding a Door. But the Simple fact is this, Im not caring if my door hits theirs if their car isnt where it should be. My car is Old, and I dont give a **** about scratches or dings. It starts, runs well, and has no problems with it. It was cheap, and is doing what it was meant to ( get me to work when i cant ride )

if you cant park your car between the lines, find a spot where you can, or suffer the consequences.

During the winter from my office window - Guess what the tow truck is about to do?

I'm talking about if you park over the line to match them.

As for dinging doors, some people will go after your insurance company for the damage.
Some of those dings can cost a fortune to fix, and the damage may need to be reported to the police.

Has anyone here been charged for hit and run after dinging a door and leaving without reporting it?

why would i park over the line to match them ?

that would make me a hypocrite for starting this thread.

my parking is is almost like OCD. It has to be perfect, or i will get out and fix it.

You obviously don't ever have a wife yelling at you while you park.
I'm the same way that you are, but I've pulled in to lots where the first person in felt that the optimum parking position was exactly centred on the line, and everyone else followed suit. Well, except for me of course.

I've also seen the local Fire department parking the pumper in the Fire Route to do their grocery shopping.

Are they going to be in the way if there's a fire?

Would you rather the truck be farther away from them if they get a call while they are inside? The Fire Route is intended for fire trucks in the first place, id be more worried about all the other people that park in the fire route.

Here's a bad drawing of the situation.

If they were a little away from the front entrance it would be a lot safer for everyone, and they could still get to any calls. It's not like there weren't two or three hundred spots available, and these guys are in great shape.
Plus, it generally sets a very bad example for us plebiscites to follow.

Never argue with the firepeople. they are above everyone, and rules dont apply to them.
