Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Trou du Diable La Morsure.

Really nicely balanced IPA. Not had a bad beer of theirs yet. Nice big pint bottles too. $4.99 when bought in Quebec, not sure what they sell for here.

I have not had that one before...

I just had the Muddy York x VQH Farms Twin Whiskers DIPA.

Nice citrus notes, a little resinous and piney.
...typical hazy (lazy) IPA, but it was enjoyable.

Delicious!

Hit up the grand opening of the Collective Arts Toronto brewpub last night.

Very nice space.

Picked up all 4 of the Heart of Darkness collab beers to go, and enjoyed the Raspberry Dry Hop Sour on the patio.

...bonus, my buddy just got hired on there as the head brewer, so I see myself spending A LOT of time there in the near future! ?

Collective Arts Heart of Darkness w/marshmallow, cinnamon, cocoa, and lactose. Aged in whisky barrels.
11.6%

It was VERY good.

The Whisky aging seems to have cut the syrupy sweetness of the beer.

Not overly boozy.

Silky porter by Fairweather in Hamilton. A really fantastic porter.

Rainhard Lemon Meringue Sour - was NOT a fan. Tasted like melted halls cough drops to me.

Collective Arts Heart of Darkness x Mikkeller.

Fantastic!

11.3%. peanut and almond aromas leading into black espresso.

Super creamy, and not boozy considering the high ABV, and bourbon aging.

I don’t think we get those collective arts ones here unless they are the $8 plus things which I refuse to pay.

I had another Trou du Diable tonight, Blanche de Shawini. A well worked out whitbier which was very good, but not incredible.

The collective arts are $6 each for short cans.
Available from the online shop and in the brewery.

4 different variations done this year in collaboration with 4 different breweries from around the world.

I've drank 3 of the 4 so far, and all have been well worth the price.

Chronicle brewing raspberry/cherry gose.
Nice and tart. Lightly soured and nicely salted.
Was VERY tasty.

5 Paddles Jump the Pumpkin Shark Imp pumpkin milk stout.

Flavors of peanut powder and nutmeg.
Medium body. Creamy mouthfeel.
A little on the sweet side for my tastes.

Stonehooker again....

Jack the Ripa and Victoria English Pale Ale

Delicious on both fronts!

Amsterdam British Dark Mild.
Nice nutty, roasted malt flavor.

Silversmith I Can't Concentrate orange Hefeweisen.
Wasn't a fan. The orange was too bitter.

IPA #15 from Collective Arts. It’s double hopped with Citra and Simcoe hops. It’s really good.

Kissing Bridge Pale Ale from Block3.
