15% of Texas's population is vaccinated. 38,000 spectators at yesterday's Jays @ Rangers game. SMH
Was that the one where masks were required unless you were eating or drinking and the shots looked like pre-covid for mask use? Seems like there is a simple answer there. No more food or drink at the game you morons. Once again, profit before health.15% of Texas's population is vaccinated. 38,000 spectators at yesterday's Jays @ Rangers game. SMH
Only The Lone ranger wears a mask in Texas pardner. Was that the one where masks were required unless you were eating or drinking and the shots looked like pre-covid for mask use? Interesting. That is another game than the one I saw then. The one I saw was theoretically mandatory masks but pictures looked very similar. I prefer the Texas approach. If you're not going to enforce, don't pretend the rule exists. That way people know what they are in for and can make an educated decision.Only The Lone ranger wears a mask in Texas pardner.
Texas Rangers host sellout crowd for 2021 home opener with no COVID-19 attendance restrictions

This sets a precedent, and we will see more full stadium games and events firing up.Interesting. That is another game than the one I saw then. Thankfully the gov't needs to sign off on this stupidity and so far the Canadian gov'ts do not appear to entertain the suggestion. New normal will happen for sure, but you need to get all willing participants vaccinated before you attempt it or you will spike and crash again. This sets a precedent, and we will see more full stadium games and events firing up.
I’m going to assume Canada will follow suit shortly as vaccinations ramp up and the business side wants to open everything up: concerts, movies, sports, travel, and everything that supports social life returning to a new ‘normal’.
I don’t think we’re ready, but pressure is mounting I’m sure.
I wouldn't be thankful for that.Thankfully the gov't needs to sign off on this stupidity and so far the Canadian gov'ts do not appear to entertain the suggestion. They haven't screwed up on this particular front yet. I agree with you in general.I wouldn't be thankful for that.
The federal government hasn't been known for it's intelligent decisions during the pandemic.
None of the governments in southern Ontario, have.
I strongly disagree. The Vancouver Canucks might too. One rule for the rich, another for the poor. Shut them down until it's over. They haven't screwed up on this particular front yet. I agree with you in general.
I was referring more to the spectators & allowing visiting teams to travel around and play like this mess wasn't happening. As for whether sports should be shut down, I have mixed feelings. Yes, they involve a risk to their employees/players but most of those aren't in much better shape than the minimum wage guy at the grocery store. Their lives are structured around cashflow and if you shut off of the cash, their lives collapse. They have no reasonable prospect of alternate employment with similar income. Also many people enjoy watching sports while perpetually being told to stay home.I strongly disagree. The Vancouver Canucks might too. One rule for the rich, another for the poor. I was as well. It needs to be shut down for players and fans until it's over. Hockey fans are all loaded, or corporations writing it off for taxes.I was referring more to the spectators & allowing visiting teams to travel around and play like this mess wasn't happening.
