Covid booster

Ford about to hold a news conference.

Late as usual.

I'm sure everything will be on the table. Something something 900 pound gorilla. We're all in this together. Flatten something. It pains me to do this. Test, vaccinate, something something Cheesecake, have a pop at home instead. Folks.
Contents of speech are already leaked.

But Ford always puts his ford-y spin on things.

Folks.

Beyond a 2 or 3 week period where the PC yellow label "Beer" was on sale for $1 a can, did we ever actually get "Buck a beer"?

What a farce. Not that I care, but it's a sad state of affairs when this was something a politician ran on.

Saw this. Had to laugh, then cry.

Finally got a shot appointment for Jan 25th.

Between people who don't want the shot, and those crashing the system, holding up the phone lines, trying to cut in line, I'm done.

Maybe they should be put in a cell together to talk it out?

I got one for January 3'rd (thanks to another member here for the heads up), but an hour away in Georgetown. At this point I suspect when the doors do officially swing open on Monday everything local will get booked out instantly until sometime in mid to late january, so I took the January 3rd one and will hold onto it unless I get something better by chance - if I do I'll cancel it. I can post here first if I do, maybe someone closer can scoop it.

Saw this today and it kinda makes me not want anymore shots …

booked myself and my wife for the 26th locally....you can just call the pharmacy and get an appointment directly. Whole health pharmacy Waterloo if anyone is looking for a shot in the kw Area.

Legal/contractual BS, not anything to do with real risks. The reality is that certain businesses need to be protected from frivolous lawsuits. The developed world has that and it has been standard practice for decades. If this concerns you, read the fine print on an airline ticket, another business that can only function with limited liability.

Actually you cannot sue the drug manufacturers the government of Canada and other governments make sure that they have zero liability For Covid vaccines. If it was zero liability for everyone that would be different. Why can’t you and I sue but refugees can sue? You aren’t making any sense it’s not anything to do with legal contractual it actually says in the article that the manufacturer is concerned about Harmful side effects. Did you read the article? You can sue for any other drug side effects just not Covid vaccines. Unless you’re a refugee I guess

My question exactly @justride and even more importantly, how many boosters?...what about people who have had Covid-19 as well as the vaccines?...do they need boosters?...I was all for initial vaccines, but a lot of what I've been reading lately is raising concerns in my mind...

How often do you need shots for travel overseas? How often do you get a tetanus shot?

How often are those forced? How often do those need to be boosted 2 to 3 times every year potentially? How often do those not stop transmission in the majority of the cases? The case count in the vaccinated is now close to 300% more than the unvaccinated. Logic would dictate that the hospitalizations and deaths are going to follow within the next month possibly. At that point it’s gonna be really hard to have anyone except the most diehard scared people still want more vaccinations

My concern about vaccines is the false sense of security it gives people. "I'm double vaxxed" doesn't give anyone relief from, handwriting, social distancing and masking when you can't.

My wife works at a big bank, after nearly 2 years of not seeing colleagues (WFH) the bank decided to throw a Christmas bash. 50 staff cramned into a small downtoen restaurant for a good old bank party.

COVID Santa showed up and handed out a few gifts. Her COVID app is lit up, her nanager and a 5 in her group tested positive today. She's awaiting test results.
