Just curious, since the age range on here seems rather diverse, at what age does a woman qualify as a "cougar"? And while I am asking, are there other criteria for being catagorized as a "cougar"? Thoughts??

If you are curious about what a cougar is, you may just be a cougar
40 +, assuming you are looking for a guy in there early 20's - early 30's.
In your 20's you are still just a girl, 30's - 40 you are considered a lady, past that your a cougar on the prowl.

I'd put the age cutoff somewhere around 30. That said, the cougar 'cues' tie in quite closely with the '80s so either cougars are older than I'd figure (???), or we'll soon start seeing '90s themes (Flannel and Levis 501s?) with cougars.
I have lots of single friends in their '30s I wouldn't consider cougars, but they're not at the bar picking up 19 year old dudes on retro night.

- No interest in a relationship;
- An untamed, wild appearance and demeanor, marked by one or several of the following...
- 'Big' or permed hair;
- Blonde (or very blonde) highlights;
- Ample cleavage;
- Presence of leopard print, red leather, or soft makeup;
- A smoker's voice?
- The '80s numbers get them on the dance floor... (cue Billie Jean).
