The "captain" is a donkey.......The real hero of the ship.......

"A Hungarian violinist who helped crying children into their lifejackets aboard the Costa Concordia is the first identified victim of the cruise ship disaster. Sandor Feher, 38, disappeared after he went back to his cabin to get his prized violin, pianist Jozsef Balog has told authorities. His body was found inside the wreck and identified by his mother...."

Even better than the Captain tripping into the lifeboat, it was the same boat the 1st and 2nd officer were sitting in.

20 bodies still suspected to be in the ship, most mass murders don't get to 20..........

I see they're following typical Italian procedure...charge everyone with murder, detain them all, drag them through 10 years of process, then give them a fine for being overly tired... I wouldn't rush to judgement just yet..

Wow, generalize some more, could you? We could follow typical Canadian procedure - charge everyone with murder, detain them all, drag them through a laughable "trial", slap them on the wrist and put them under house arrest for 90 days...

I thought that they charged him with manslaughter, not murder.

It sounds like there was no one left in authority to get the safely passengers off of the ship once the captain left.

I wonder if he got his dry socks?

A few hundred feet makes all the difference.

Not even.

I took one of the scenic cruises out of Parry Sound and at one point the captain was announcing a particular view and commented that those rugged cliffs we see above the water also exist just below the water. A person could be standing in a foot of water and take one step to a fifty foot drop.

I love that feeling while snorkeling on the reef and there is a deep dark drop
<<irony>>
my heart drops to my foot

the only time i have ever truly felt scared for my life was snorkelling in gerogian bay, in a couple feet of water, then "falling" over a cliff that went WAY down. i almost panicked. thought i was falling. even though i remained on the surface, i felt like i was way below.
