Lots of GTA plates and places like St. Jacobs are packed
Cases count are at all time highs (Waterloo Region COVID-19 summary)
Gyms are packed
University / College exams will be over soon so the kids will go back home probably
^ Conestoga College, University of Waterloo and Laurier University are the 3 big ones here

@ DOUG FORD - Be a leader and flatten the damn curve

Also I went to the Conestoga Mall last weekend (black friday/cyber monday weekend) because I had to ship something. It was packed to the brim with line ups outside of most stores. I found it basically impossible to maintain a 6 ft distance between everybody that weekend... Don't get me started on the line up at the Starbucks :(
And don't forget the mobile spreaders. Public transit does its part too! Packed buses with no forced "mandatory" masks. Maybe the public will force regional council to enforce their mask bylaw?

Conestoga, Fairview, and Cambridge Malls are very busy. Not a lot of empty parking spaces. Best Buy seems packed every time I drive by it. By the view of my mobile corner office you would have no idea that the Waterloo region is in the "red zone" or that we are even in a pandemic.

Just the same I had my first "mask fight" on the bus. If they actually enforced the mask compliance then good samaritan riders who ask someone else to please wear a mask would not be getting assaulted.

I live a couple minutes from the farmers market. Driving by it, shoppers are lined up elbow to elbow. The mall looks the same. Glad i bought the grandkids irone bikes. I'm not shopping and taking a chance of bringing covid home to my wife.

People without masks can always been seen on our ion train. Doug Ford's balls dropped off.

The dealership plate covers :)

The MAJORITY of people buy vehicles from dealerships closer to where they live unless you are a bargain hunter

Ah gotcha, I always remove those frames ?‍♂️ So I will be visiting out of Toronto in stealth... ;)

While I do not like the idea of min-wage or any workers enforcing rules....

Doug should really fully mandate no mask no service. Any business, serve someone without a mask big fines for you. Just refuse to serve them, if they dig in shutdown the store and call it in... Take some officers off traffic ticket writing and put them on COVID ticket writing.

Maybe even create an Ontario social media page where busineses can post security video of the mask less idiots. Name and shame, lots of good people out of work maybe the employers might want to rid themselves of mask-less idiots and hire some new blood. Easy to identify, their faces are not covered!

Can't wear a mask, curbside only.

Someone on the bus without a mask, bus does not move, call it in sit and wait until they leave, comply or wait until transit cops arrive to be removed and fined--eventually real cops if need be. The other people late for work, will also take some steps to get the bus moving...

Saw a small business the other day up in Cottage country near Kingston that had a sign “we understand that you may have a medical reason for not wearing a mask...in this case call xxxxxxxxx and you will be able to pick your order up curb side. Masks must be worn in the store”.

I think they had enough malarkey from some crusty locals.

That’s fair IMHO.

I was in a bank this week, no mask, get out.

There's no legitimate reason that that shouldn't be implemented province wide with no exceptions. Douggie is stumbling, he needs to get his mojo back.

Going to town, is like visiting something out of the twilight zone for me now.

Went downtown a couple times in the last month....twilight zone! Lots of parking, no traffic....felt like a Sunday at 6am....on a Monday at 8-9am!

It’s so frustrating going into stores with people wearing their masks below their nose, not following the arrows, and just being sloppy with the whole situation. I’m not going to argue and get into fights but I try to stay the F away from them. I feel bad for the workers, but they’re not all that much better in some instances. Had a few workers at Walmart chatting with no masks on, but they put them on once I walked into the aisle....so I guess that’s good...

So true, havent been to downtown for almost 8 months! As first all colleagues count the weeks working from home, now they don't bother with counting any more...
We just got notice that WFH has been extended until the spring....for now. Heard rumours it’ll be September. I shouldn’t have bought my car lol.

Wife was exposed at work, she is not allowed in for two weeks, her work requires her to get a test (no issue with that) but they wanted her to wait a week to not get a false negative (again not much issue with that other than the week wait is really two weeks from the potential exposure). No free thinking on the protocols, just a week from being notified. If it is negative she still needs to wait the second week.

The crazy part, public health Ontario said she has to self isolate until tested negative (seems OK) but the kids and I do not? If she has it, we have it? Schools said the kids should attend school in class if no symptoms, unless she has a positive test THEN they should stop going. So they will have been in class a week before we know....

I really think this is how the mess is spreading, it is not small business.
If someone in your bubble has it isn't it assumed that everyone has it? The power in this disease is more its rate of spread than its fatality rate.

The percentage of people that understand the bubble idea is pathetic.

Can you make up some stickers and pop one on their back as they walk by?

Where is your union on this????

Make Ford take the bus to meetings.

No. Your logic makes sense to me. The official public health logic does not make sense to me. As far as I understand it, if I was a close contact of a confirmed case, I should isolate from the public. Effective isolation from my family is not practical. My family has no requirement to isolate unless I become a confirmed case (by which time, they have probably caught it and spread it).
