I expect trucking companies will obviously be defined as essential here as well.

Problem being for mine is that only a tiny fraction of our freight is actually going to businesses that will remain open, so we're going to just become a giant warehouse in short order.

And meanwhile Trump is tweeting in the middle of the night suggesting that in 15 days he's just gonna let things return to normal.

What could possibly go wrong.
Statistically, this will do more for his illegal "problem" than the wall. Many probably will not have access to proper health care. :(

I tried freezing beer....hasnt worked well but putting a stick in the bottle first is going a bit better.

Sort of like cracking a hard boiled egg.
You need to freeze your beer in bags, like milk. Unfreeze, shake, then poke a straw thru the bag.

Lots of BS in that article. If the bill fails it doesn't mean the government falls. It might trigger a vote of confidence in the government, which they would win because nobody wants an election right now. They could pass the bill with an amendment that it expires in 4, 5, or 6 months and taxes implemented under it expire within a year.

I’ve seen a few posts about the LCBO staying open. I understand the joking around and myself kind of thought that it can’t be an essential service The reasoning behind it is sound though.

I’ve dealt with someone going through the detox process a couple of times and it isn’t a pleasant situation at all. Never mind the potential health effects, the confusion and hallucinations are a very real and scary thing. Like mentioned I’ve been present for the process and both times I remember it ended up as a 3-4 day hospital stay. Just wanted to put a little context on the LCBO thing.

There's actual medicine in them liquor stores...tequila.

Apparently LCBO will remain open - they have listed it as an essential service due to people with alcohol dependency/problems. Don't want them ending up in the ER / drinking the limited supply of hand sanitizer we have.
Sadly that's what I was kind of thinking

Flight was empty. No food or drink service.

AC cancelled our flight and combined 2 flights as there’s no people. The most annoying part was grandpa behind me bitching he paid for business class and wants food.

they calmed him down with a promise of 2 juice boxes that they took from their emergency stash for people with low blood sugar during flights. ‘I don’t care about corona, I paid for meal service and I demand a full meal on this flight’

they should have kicked his ass off the flight.
Should have directed him to the washroom -- he could have the same in-flight meals as the Corona Challenge Girl.

It's comply willingly or be forced to comply people, they are giving the public too many chances to get their **** together now,
you might see that change because too many people are being stupid, way to go. ?

Oh, but the entitled twatwaffles will be all "my rights are being trampled on!" when the war measures act is finally instituted and breaking the laws/guidelines/whatever is laid out is actually severely punishable at that point.

Because they feel entitled.

Heck, there's a gym near me that's still operating and is packed every day, all day. People just DO NOT GET IT, and may just don't give a flying ****. If we're all in "shelter in place" a week from now under the war measures act, remember...it's those dolts who caused it.

And it'll probably be a bunch of those dolts still flaunting things. Difference being at that point...they can get rounded up.

List of essential businesses released, way too many excemptions

As expected. Also, I can't open it, server crying under load. Cut and paste if you have it open.

EDIT:
Finally got it. Frig me, it is many pages long. 70 bullets.

All construction is exempt?

As I expected, why didn't he just say offices not attached to manufacturing/warehousing were closed? That would have been much simpler. Never mind. Because most offices are essential.

F it. I give up. The list should just be "Ontario. Open for Business." JT is going to have to shut the country down because douggie is a bleeping moron.

It could be worse. I'm on a board which is primarily Americans, primarily from the rust/Bible belt, and all the talk there is:

"WTF? Car accidents cause more deaths than Coronavirus"
"I'm going out and shaking everyone's hands like God intended me to"
"Hoax"
"Governments are ruining businesses by over-reacting"
"First they isolate us, then they take away our guns"

Every single one of them. No dissenting opinion. It's like an echo chamber of ignorance.

I don't even bother. The borders are closed anyway. Let their god sort it out in a few weeks.

"First they isolate us, then they take away our guns"
First they try to isolate us. Then we don't listen and die. Then they take away our guns as it's &*^(*^^ dangerous having an unattended unsecured arsenal.

On the upside, the chairman spot should open up soon and you can move on up. :/

My wife is so angry. She's going to blow a gasket. Why bother closing schools if every other workplace in the province is essential. Real estate agents taking two weeks off would have a net effect of almost zero (among almost everything else on douggies essential list).

Paramedics are ****** that they called out police, fire, coroner and pathology but not paramedics.

I think the only thing they left off the list was prostitutes.
