Was listening to the radio and someone accused Ford of sexual harassment because he said ‘be up his ying yang all day looking for answers’ or something something. LoL you can’t make this stuff up.
It wasn't sexual he wanted to use a fire cracker

"I’d be up that guy’s yin yang so far with a firecracker" now we just need to agree on what his yin yang is, I think it's philosophical reference.

Oh fuddle-duddle

And because Doug has no stones, they are not releasing the names or locations of those warned or charged. F that. The fine will be meaningless. Having a financial hit because people avoid your cesspool seems like a better incentive to ensure compliance.
This is a municipal, not provincial enforcement initiative. I'm sure the province knows the offenders, but it's up to the municipal bylaw and or public health units. Here's the one for York Region (the first and only time I have been in a store since last April was Sunday -- at one of the stores on the list when the bylaw guys were handing out tickets!) .

I'm glad York Region is publishing names. They need to throw the sticker on the door like for food inspection. I was right, the fine is meaningless. Even an order of magnitude higher is meaningless for the vast majority of those ticketed.

I agree... the fine is meaningless. When a grocery store is putting $500/minute thru the cash registers each minute of the day, places are putting $1000an $800 fine is hardly a deterrent. Quite frankly I don't think a big red dirty warning sign would do much either.

They are punching them with a feather. I'd like to see bog box stores held to a higher standard, I say 1 K for the first offence, then $25K for the next, then $25K plus a $5K uptick for each subsequent infraction.

"Charge laid against the Costco Manager pertaining to physical distancing at check-out lanes."

Way to go customers (y) your need to cozy up to the shopper next to you got the store manager a tailgating ticket. Next week he will be out there with a cattle prod ?

Its literally the cost of doing business. Same as parking tickets for a lot of companies. So long as the fine is insignificant compared to the money made, it’s not a deterrent.

Now if the fine is....2-4 days of being shut down. Then you’ll see compliance skyrocket.

One bar in Toronto was paying a 100K fine every Saturday as the cost of doing business. It took AGCO starting proceedings to revoke their liquor license for the bar to take constructive action.
