In university, one guy always wore a ball cap. I thought nothing of it until we had and exam and wasn't allowed to wear it. Cue ball on top. Normal hair on the sides. That's why he wore the hat. I hadn't seen someone that young unintentionally bald before.

In my case at least, it was like the hair was just thinning out even though the hair was still there, so I just said **** it and trimmed it all off

Sail just whacked a bunch of stores (including Vaughan). I always found they had better prices and better selection than MEC. I can't see MEC being far behind (and am actually surprised they have lasted this long).

On a slightly related note, if a gun store bails and is sitting on a lot of firearms that just became prohibited what happens? The receiver keeps them locked up until JT figures out how to implement his dumb program? They get turned in for $0 and crushed? They get turned in for an IOU? I assume the receiver isn't allowed to transfer them to anybody. With Sail I would assume Sail Vaughan could transfer weapons to a different sail store.

Sail's online sales are good but not all products can be bought online which is odd in this day and age. As for the guns, they don’t generally sell the prohibited ones do they? It’s mostly hunting rifles and non scary looking .22s etc.

I was more thinking of the new and ever expanding list that seems to arbitrarily flip some weapons to prohibited.

i found a lot of what sail says is on sale but you can't buy online, they don't have in stock, almost like click bait

So Sundays numbers bumped UP again... sigh... this will never end. We need to at least try for downward.
I know they said there was late reporting blah blah, doesn't matter we need the numbers to go down.

They won't. Not anytime soon. Weather is getting warmer, restrictions are loosening, and people are forgetting all that we went through because...it didn't affect them. Yet.

Poland just got a spike again. Cousins went to a wedding on the weekend and said it was all normal. Kissing, hugging, drinking together close and having a good time. Honestly I hope the numbers spike hard because I want my damn travel ticket refund. And we're not going either way, but the longer they lock the country down, the higher chance of me getting a full refund.

As expected, travel companies/airlines are playing dirty. Some friends have a vacation booked in paris at the beginning of July. They keep talking to company about options and the number one priority of the call centre is to try to get my friends to pull the plug (so they have to pay). The last call had their direct flight there changed to a layover and no return flight available (none, at all). My friend asked if the travel company was going to cancel it already since they had no way to get home. They replied that they wouldn't but if he wanted to cancel, they would be happy to process that for him.

Exactly. We're flying to Poland with LOT airlines. As an EU destination we get better protections. As of today, all international flights are cancelled by LOT until June 30, 2020. However, they switched our flights to Belgian Air. But it's still international, and if there's a 2 week quarantine there, and a 2 week quarantine here....wtf is the point.
If I can't get a refund, then I will at least take the 2 year voucher, hell even 1 year I can make work. My company is already stressing out over the vacation as apparently I may be needed, so I told them I'm more than happy to cancel the trip and go to work...but someone's paying for that ticket.

I hate this nonsense.

I feared going through that with my wedding venue. Was due to get married on July 24th, after discussing it with the wife I sent an email to them on March 30th advising them that we were giving up our date. They responded that currently they were only rebooking events 6 weeks out. So I wouldn't be able to make a decision on this happening until June? Not bloody likely.

Thankfully someone over there had common sense and 2 weeks ago we got the approval on our date for next summer. I was gearing up to fight over a rebooking or cancelation fee if they played the "we couldn't rebook anyone on your date" card and restrictions eased up. I gave you guys almost 4 months notice, that's on you.

We've actually not seen any big parties on our street. Maybe a single guest/family here and there, but that's the extent of what we've seen.

That's the biggest I've seen. Some neighbours have gotten together, but typically in the driveway and that's that. And that's neighbours across the fence/street from one another.

Social distancing is breaking down quickly around me. People going over to friends for dinner (6' doesn't matter if you are in their house), kids having pool parties (about two to four houses worth in one pool), driveway drinking spacing is less every day. Some people went on vacation to BC with their kids (flying).

My wife is very annoyed with the lockdown. She is seeing everybody else have fun and socialize and not us. Hospitals are not overrun, mental health problems climbing quickly, etc. The root problem is you have a percentage of the population that will ignore whatever rules are in place. Between them and working/shopping, we have a reasonably steady supply of cases. Add in a few concerts (ahem, sorry, i mean protests) and the numbers will have a bump. That means the rules remain in place for those that were following them. There are enough selfish idiots that you need to keep the obedient ones on a very short leash to keep the numbers under control. Without the selfishness, we could probably have pulled back on the global rules a bit already but sadly selfishness is not something we are in short supply of in Canada.

Glad to hear you were able to re-book without any real hassles. So far most of my clients have been treated the same, and no real issues re-booking. I know venues like to be stickliers for contracts, good they are cooperating. Seems this year could be a write-off, everyone is booking for 2021.

That's the smart plan. Constantly rebooking and then bumping as restrictions are still in place is hard on everyone. If things open up, offer discount slots for anyone that wants a wedding in the next month (the less lead time, the cheaper the price).

My neighbor is exactly like what is happening on your street. Inlaws and parents over every week, now they are having get togethers and pool time, seen friends come by and go dog walking. I also think they are double dipping, working and collecting gov money.

It's Noah's arc thinking, you are warned and warned, but until it happens (to them) they won't listen.

Humans are pack animals by nature so this is nothing but expected. We (well most of us) are just not wired to be isolated for extended periods of time. So I fully expect as some positive messages come out and some restrictions are lifted people will revert back to their basic nature. Pent up demand...

This is the same reason why these ideas of everyone working from home and living spread out in the country will be the end all be all future is flawed. Fighting typical basic human behaviour is not a sustainable concept. It will not build good teams long term, we need/crave the interaction.

Prisoners are put in solitary as punishment, not reward.

Depending on how much you like them there’s a new snitch line for that....one call and a whole world of hurt....same for the parties.
I'm not at the throw the people under the bus stage yet for parties. My wife is right, there is a mental health and public health balance and some people are running out of time before they snap.

As for double dipping on money, screw those greedy bastards. You are stealing from my grandchildren (or maybe great grandchildren at this point).
