I have a friend who is heavily into heritage and weird strains of tomatoes. I’ve planted 8 different varieties so far. Arugula, lettuce, spinach will be going in the next few days. I want the soil bags so I can rest most of my veggie beds this year. Had some nasty rot going on with toms last year. Think the soil is exhausted and I don’t have too much compost to add in. I planted in grow bags in the uk and if done right you can get heavy yields and plant on pathways, unused areas of the garden etc. The balance between drainage and water retention is key.
I tried grow bags last year, they worked OK but they are a bit unsightly and you have to keep your eye on moisture. I also tried pots -- got a pile of 20" nursery that were used for nursery cedars - they worked really well. My brother in law is a chicken farmer, he mixed me up a few buckets of barn goop that tilled in last week. It's too hot to plant now, but it should be great by the middle of may. Nothing like a mixture of composted chickens and chicken shi+ to get a garden happy.
Ok I did, FDA link in your article plus the Canada site, your serology tests indicate the presence of anti-bodies indicating you have recently fought an infection, zero way of knowing the exact nature of that infection, because it is not directly testing for the specific virus, but we can over-look that little reality and just assume it was Covid-19.
It's not that it's offensive...
Your comments pretty much mirror exactly what Trump has been doing. From, oh, it's nothing, it's under control, it'll disappear like a miracle... to suddenly, well, 200,000 deaths shows that we're doing a great job!
You're attitude comes across as, "I know all about this. Screw everyone else. It's affecting my life. Too bad if you die, but you're annoying me."

to be fair there are polyclonal antibodies (somewhat specific) and monoclonal antibodies (very specific). The problem that people have been having with the tests is that they are trying to find part of the virus that is absolutely unique to the virus and then raise monoclonal antibodies to that part. The test doesn’t actually recognize the virus, just a specific sequence of structures from it. If that sequence is also found elsewhere (ie not unique) then you’ll get false positives.
edit...it’s also not totally a walk in the park to do this although the protocols are pretty well established. That’s also an issue.
Buffet is long closed. They only do cooked to order take out now.
Ours was really fresh, but we got there a little early, and sat in the car until we could see it on the table, ready for pickup.
The downside is, that if someone wanted to steal your order, it wouldn't be too difficult.
I was out for an hour today, had to drop my office keys off to a co-worker who was packing her stuff to WFH. It's quite desolate on the roads around here, had a got of trouble with my internal governor - I can see why traffics tickets are up while driving is down.
Saw two radar setups within a couple of hours on two close sections of the highway. One had the cop cars parked in the live onramp lane. One officer was clocking people, and the others were doing the chase. Other setup was in the middle of the highway, and it looked like they were doing their own chasing/flagging.

Why centre out Trump? Most every leader has been slow to react. They all seem clueless about this, because the information their advisors gives them changes from day to day, and sometimes hour to hour.

Simply because he spread SOOOO much misinformation about the entire pandemic. It's criminal to be honest. Man has zero morals, and I believe falls firmly into "Narcissist" and "Psychopath" categories.
A look at claims the president has made over the last several weeks, downplaying the consequences of the public health emergency even as his agencies scramble to manage it.
The head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has been willing to tell the truth, even when it requires publicly contradicting President Trump.
Been tracking this thing, initially the number of cases was balanced between BC and Ont, but iv noticed BC's new cases seems to have stabilized, ON is steadily increasing and Quebec has skyrocketed...
Took the cage out to get a break. If I could pick up some necessities without too much contact that would be a bonus.
The independent veggies shop at the strip mall was closed but a sign in the window gave a website to set up getting stuff starting tomorrow. I hope that works for them.
I drove by Food Basics and was going to pick up a couple of items but a distancing line was forming and there wasn't anything urgent for me so I skipped the contact bit and minimized the line for others.
Similar for No Frills, another Basics and Fortinos.
Went to another strip mall with a beer store, LCBO and Shoppers Drugs. I was hoping for a couple of items at Shoppers but they didn't have them so I bought something else since I was already in there. I asked the cashier about sanitizer and was told they were out but she said the variety store had some at $12-13 a bottle. Too close to the price of vodka so I passed. LCBO had a distancing line and I only wanted a cheap cooking white so I passed again.
As I sat in the parking lot I thought about the number of unknown contacts my wife would have typically made in a shopping trip (Five stores and forty to fifty bumps and excuse me's per store). Then I saw a car stop at the curb, roll down the passenger window and ask someone for directions. The guy on the sidewalk stuck his head in the window. It was a small car. Sigh.
Picked up some cash at the BMO ATM. No fifties so a bunch of twenties.
Oh and the zombie walking against a red on Dundas texting and fiddling with his wallet. Something flipped out and the wind blew it down the live lanes as he chased after it. Never mind riding these days, some shouldn't be walking.

A few months ago a shopping trip for my wife would mean a half dozen stores with dozens of within arm's reach contacts per store. Then there would be a few other in between trips for one of us or the other plus a number of coffee breaks or dine outs. We are looking at hundreds per week.
Now one of us does a one store run and the stores are helping. We have possibly reduced our contact number by as much as 80% or more. Run that on an exponential graph. Others are doing even better. I'm working on a personal best.
The run up to the Republican convention in late August could be a real life drama. A well written book on it would be a best seller.
If you think about Hitler, anyone that opposed him was taken for a car ride by the Gestapo and offered a mint candy. "Mint you say? It smells like almonds." The cards will be played close to the chest.
It is rumoured that J.Edgar Hoover had crap on every politician in the country and that's how he kept his job with the FBI. With Putin's help DT could have similar powers. As president, even a lame duck one, he can pardon or not pardon sticky fingered politicians as he so desires.
For the deleted post regarding hospital beds vs covid patients. Ontario typically has 1800 icu beds that run at ~100% occupancy. As of 4 days ago, covid patients occupied 30% of those beds. That means right now they are probably occupying close to 60% of those beds. In three or four more days, 120% of those beds. Yes, they are bringing more beds online, but we are not talking about 0.016% of available hospital capacity here. We are very quickly approaching 100% of the capacity that matters.
