....you know Hong Kong (and Taiwan) citizens really hate China right? Their opinions are emotionally loaded. I also really ******* hate China due to my Taiwanese roots. However, the Chinese are extremely prideful. Try to talk **** about China to a Chinese person and you'll find blind patriotism that rivals the south's "GUNS, FREEDOM, AND MURICA!" culture.
Pressure from outside countries into China won't matter either because the great firewall of China is terrifyingly effective (also plays into the patriotism I mentioned.) So all we get, once again, is racism.
The solution I see is for Western businesses to stop dealing with China...but we're not gonna do that. It's too profitable and it would make a **** ton of goods dramatically increase in price. That would directly impact all of us and nobody wants to pay.
So really, I'm gonna focus on our home (Canada) and ask why the **** our government is doing a such a bad job with flattening the curve.
Did I misinterpret your original post? You literally quoted my post about marching with pitch forks into China which implies bloodshed.
I don't want to get too much into Chinese politics. I know the history. I know there are still very hard feelings between the Kuomintang and the Maoists. But this problem is about the DANGER of shutting down free speech. One man tried to warn the world. He was silenced. Because of that, tens of thousands are dying and the world economy has crashed.
Someone will have to pay for this. Just watch.
