Don’t like abortions take a contraceptive or keep your legs closed. I’m not about telling a women what to do.
But someplace along the line planning has to come into play
Like always carry a rape whistle?

crime rates are proven to be substantially higher in areas where abortion is prohibited.
Same could be said for Uncle Wally. Without Aunt Sarah’s 24 hour Alzheimer’s care, he might just be a clump of unviable cells. It’s not a baby in 90+% of abortions, it’s a clump of cells that wouldn’t be viable outside the woman's body.
I'd like to say religious rights can be excluded from the discussion of law. If someone belongs to a religion that has a stricter bar than law, they can decide what to do. We all know that religion and govt and far too closely intertwined so it's not that simple.I have thought deeply about this for a long time and really don’t have a position one way or another. There are a lot of things to consider, and a lot of stuff that needs to be weighed on a balance.
No matter how this is decided, rights of some type get elevated or trampled. Trying to resolve this so everyone wins is simply not possible.
Women’s rights
Men’s rights
Human rights
Religious rights
Democratic rights
How does one prioritize these?
I forgot which comedic skit this is from but...
If you are a man, you cannot have an opinion on this.
If you are a woman, you should be the sole person who decides.
With that said, forced child support payments should not be a thing.
And you're right. If aunt Sarah wants to provide the care, we should let her (assuming wally isnt suffering). People that want "us" to pay for perpetual care while they never visit their loved one annoy me.Same could be said for Uncle Wally. Without Aunt Sarah’s 24 hour Alzheimer’s care, he might just be a clump of unviable cells.
What has it got to do with being a man?I'm a man…I have no right to tell a woman what to do with her own body. But it’s not just that, no one has a right to tell a woman what to do with her own body.
Don't like abortions? Don't get one then!
Would be nice, but they are intertwined as the cables behind your computer.I'd like to say religious rights can be excluded from the discussion of law. Can another woman tell her what to do? Can you tell a man what to do?
Red herring.
That’s how a red herring works.2nd sentence. Read it through.
You're kidding right? It's Texas, there isn't.Pro-choice. And I believe FullMotoJacket touched on this, what about if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant? Wondering if there is a caveat in this Texas law for this scenario.
That’s how a red herring works.
Use the second line to walk back the red herring.
mind-boggling, just like so much other crap these daysYou're kidding right? It's Texas, there isn't.
Or incest...mind-boggling, just like so much other crap these days
