As for Drake, can someone tell me the best song to listen to? So far all I have heard is a bunch of autotune sounding stuff, there has to be more to it? Prefer solo and none of this collaboration stuff.
Back on subject, is it true chair girl has singed on at the New Locomotion for post COVID "action"?....don't say you haven't heard of the place...
Best is fairly subjective i suppose. He does auto tune on occasion. As for Drake, can someone tell me the best song to listen to? So far all I have heard is a bunch of autotune sounding stuff, there has to be more to it? Prefer solo and none of this collaboration stuff.

I assume you meant "in my feelings"?He has a good agent. Kiki was a big success because of the marketing.
lmao @ boomers and our boy drizzy
oh and the guy made Toronto famous tbh... no one outside of Canada cared to know before, that takes talent doesn't it?
@jc100 what instrument do you play, for how many years, what competitions have you done, and what is your highest ARCT level? (protip: if you aren't ARCT performer, teacher, level 10, or composition you should really back off)
If you aren't a classical type, then what have you performed in?
You're acting out the boomer stereotype right now so lets shine the spotlight on you =)

Still with the boomer hate!
Well I used to give piano concerts a long time ago. I’m also not a boomer. I also know Drake gives me a nervous twitch that makes me shake my head sadly and change radio stations (it also happens with Bieber and Swift but Bieber is often accompanied by projectile vomiting and Swift just brings me out in hives).
I'm wondering if there’s some evolutionary issue where successive generations have auditory degeneration combined with an increasing lack of taste and a lower tolerance for what passes as talent? In which case that’s just something that isn’t your fault and you deserve pity.

I do believe (and history has proven this correct) that pop music goes in waves of good and bad. many times the next wave is a response to the previous being overdone. The good stands the test of time (even if it was hated by the next generation at the time) and multiple generations will listen to it and love it even if it is well before or after their "time". The bad will always be loved by the generation that grew up with it but not by anyone else. I think Drake is a good example of this, I really don't see anyone listening to this 20 years from now.
But as I said before, the genre he is in has many very talented artists, they just don't have the marketing behind them he does,
........so you gave piano concerts with no achievements in ARCT?
I'm asking because I'd understand if you were a classical snob; I played violoncello for 20 years and have won many Kiwanis competitions in solo and orchestral (both sympathy and chamber) categories. So my experiences with the close-minded hardcore classical musicians who deemed anything not romantic baroque, or classical to be **** is pretty substantial lol
But I gotta say, we hated these mother fuckers. The best musicians I've ever met that had their entire ARCT completed (in grade 8 lol) weren't judgmental. Music is art, and art is subjective.
I do think that the vast majority of pop stars would get wrecked playing classical instruments, and that the skill floor has definitely dropped, but classifying something subjective (unless completely out of tune) as "lack of taste" is highly narcissistic at best and makes you look like a dumb ass knob.
I don't particularly like Drake but I'm not gonna call him a talentless dude.
Also, if you hate Drake with a passion, this'll trigger the **** out of you lol (I cringed)
