Now with the new iPhone 4S out of the hat, i recommend returning your current iPhone 4 and waiting a week to get the new iPhone 4S. Its not like you'll be paying much more.

How are the reception on those companies out of the GTA? I mean out of the city?

I am planning to go to Wind/Public if my contract expires

I think Public is a division of bell, or is that Solo...?
Anyways, I'll speak on what I know, WIND is not horrible if you're in the city.
Last time I was at the forks of the credit, I checked my phone for reception and there was absolutely none.
So it's ideal if you're a city dweller and won't spend a lot of time outside the GTA.
If you are travelling out of the city often enough, you're better off going with a more reliable network (Rogers, Telus, Bell, etc...).

The iphone 4 already supports what is called "4G" in Canada. The 4S or 5 will also. Unless you mean LTE, and even then it might. "4G" is all just marketing ********.

you need to have LTE data for the phone to use the LTE network. Rogers will not be replacing all currect data plan subscribers with LTE.
