Hey anyone know of a good place to get car tires from in the Buffalo area? Tires and installation. Just wondering if there are savings to be had by driving across the border.

www.tirerack.com - they have installers all over the States
How they catch you now is some of the tires have a green line in the tread that wear out after 2000k. As before you have tires installed which brands don't have it.
How can they prove you didn't install them in Canada a day or two before then?
I use Bailey's Tire in Buffalo.
Family owned, great service, great prices and very close to the border!
Tell them you are cdn, and you get an extra discount!
9 out of 10 vehicles in the place have Canadian plates.

+1 for Bailey's Tire. I bought my winter tires there 2 seasons ago, installed, drove back. they even cleaned the rims so it doesn't look like finger prints everywhere. but make sure you call and make an appointment ahead of time.
Just emailed them for a quote.
I'm still comparing prices with Costco and a local tire place in Brantford. Dealership wanted $180 installed/tire for ContiPros which aren't that impressive imho. Since I already have winter tires, I would prefer some summers. Also still looking at TireRack.
On that topic, anyone have any suggestions on some good summer tires? VW Jetta TDI 205 55 R16 btw so not looking for extreme performance if you know what I mean. More interested in good wet handling and quiet over performance.
I am very happy with Michelin Pilot A/S, but I am also so impressed with winter Dunlop WinterSport M3 (compared to Michelin Pilot Alpin) that my next set of summer tires will be from Dunlop too.
