They picked it back up and it's got some damage, the left handle is slightly bent (any idea the cost?) but not too bad. Some cosmetic stuff. But I didn't really know who to call? I called the police and they said if it's over $1000 damage you have to report it. I said, "it's a hit and run", but the guy said no one will come to look, you have to take it in. Or not, he said. If your insurance requires you to report it, you'd better report it. It started, so I drove home. I contacted my insurance company and said "what's my next move?". I think I need to have it thoroughly gone over. It didn't start right away, and not every time since either.
Does anyone know the proper way to deal with this, for now, and/or in the future?
And oh yeah, if anyone hears about some idiot in a pickup truck (white) dumping a bike at Danforth and Woodbine today at 4:30, let me know.
