Canadian Tire selling used items as new.

Oh for $200 I'd buy it over any mastercraft... didn't realize the sale price was like 50% off. I just wouldn't buy it at $450.

Nor would I. At full price I would not even consider it.

Bill, you are the worse troll ever, can see you from a mile away lol.
Actually you're wrong. I've had so many problems with Canadian tire and its useless employees, including head office.Their customer service is crap, the complaint handling is crap. I think they interview and hire the least qualified for the jobs.
I think you just proved that by your comment.

Bill, with your personality, you have problems with everyone, Me, many people in here and remind me how many times have you got perma banned? and come back as another user? but of course in your mind Paul and the admins are ******** and you are the victim.

At some point you need to look at yourself in the mirror and recognize that when you have problems with everyone and everywhere, the problem might be you.

Anyways, I am out of here, rant all you want.

I don't have problems with anyone except you. When you tell people to ignore a guy who's brother is about to pass away, well it shows your character. Then after he passed away all you do is bad mouth the guy nice friend. But this has nothing to with Canadian tire, how is it my problem they sell defective products then refuse to refund or exchange it, and its happened at least half dozen times. Canadian tire needs to change its screw the customer attitude. Then there's the mechanics that threaten not to release your car if you don't have the make belief problems repaired. They will be the next
Store to choose hopefully.

Do multipurpose blades not exist for other mitre saws? And will the evolution blade only fit their own saw?
I recently bought a Mastercraft 10" slider for $180 and it works great but it would be even better if I could get more versatility out of it.

The Waterdown store is comedy gold. The loss prevention kiddies follow you around like lost puppies.

The Milton CTC store had a product shrinkage issue of nearly $10K in one week, they don't even put mig welders on the shelf now its an empty box. Waterdown suffered the same problems.

You can buy aluminum and plastic blades for a convention miter saw, and its actually better to have a specific blade vs all purpose if you care about finished product. Aluminum burrs with a regular blade and plastic will melt rather than clean cut.
If you cut steel on a miter saw with a dust bag, REMOVE the dust bag. its a grenade.

Wonder how much of it is internal shrinkage? Heard of a guy way back, that used to work there that kept a catalogue in his locker...anything you wanted at half price. Managers that used to bring in their cars for new tires and "forget" to pay. The list goes on....

What the **** are you talking about? who's brother passed away? This is the thing, you are creating this fantasy world and I am part of it when in reality the only time I even remember you is when I read you posts in here.

You are good troll, I will give you that

Time to hit the ignore button on you again, until you get banned again and then come up with some other handle and start following me around threads again and insulting me again and i have to hit the ignore button again, you have issues man.

I bought a blow up rubber doll. Version of Iggy Azalae from the acme sex shop. I brought it home and tried it out... After I was done I sat back and as I sipped on my scotch I thought to my self "you know what, I don't think the ass on this doll is as big as Iggy's ass"

So I took it back... The lady at the store would not take it back even though I told them I had thoroughly cleaned it and removed any evidence of usage... Point of the story Sometimes stores just don't cooperate..

MM, any response yet?

A few days ago I got an email saying (in summary -- I can post the whole thing when I get home):

"We are sorry to learn about your dissatisfaction with Canadian Tire. Your feedback has been logged and your feedback will be forwarded to the owners/general managers of these Canadian Tires.

Should you wish to discuss this further... we invite you to please contact the Canadian Tire stores directly to voice your feedback."

So I guess they missed the part where it was the store manager who refused to follow the corporate policy and then basically say in the future, don't bother calling us, deal directly with the store.

Canned response #536161 sent to Mike. I wonder how many of those emails they send a day.

Yep, mostly a canned response with very little of it personalized to answer my complaint. Here is the full text I received:

Did you really expect anything other then that. This is a company that has always had the worst customer service ever. From their mechanics to floor people to head office, completely useless company. Here's how a company should work, I had an issue with home depot,I emailed the president at around 9:30 at night, I had a reply email from him within 15 mins., stating he will have someone look into it for me, the next morning I got an email from a lady at head office asking for complete details. They took the complaint very serious, and handled it professionally and quick. I purchase everything I can from them, both personal and for work.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think I get better service at South of the border

You are obviously not privileged enough to deserve decent service in Canada. :)

Seriously, a friend was presenting a quality made and priced product to CT purchasing and was told that it was a waste of time in that they only hire students and part time home-makers. They only know how to point you in the direction of the product. Explaining the value of a better product would be over their heads.
