Can riding on the street help you lose weight?

Judging by the timmies meet ups, nope.

I've lifted weights since before most of you were born, and still do.

Don't leave me hanging Mik, I need to know how long? LOL.

Good idea with the 100 year diet.

LOLz, he said "most". I believe that's the operatiing word

If you're going to argue a point, at least try and be accurate. I have a BSC and PHD in Naturopathy, Homeopathy, TCM, and Kinesiology. Bromelain is "pineapple" enzyme that we often use in arthritic conditions therapeutically. Papain is "papaya" enzyme that you'll find in cheap dietary supplements for people with sluggish digestion. It's cheap 'cause it's full of sugar and plentiful.

The point is/was that alternatives to a "Big Mac, fries, and a super-sized Coke" are the reason some SS riders actually gain weight on the road. I don't know anyone that got fat from OJ. My gut is wash-board flat. There are better alternatives on the road and seeking them out is as easy as stopping the group ride at a grocery store, rather than McDonalds. Your wallet and your health will thank you.

Note: To those of you who have a weight problem and want to lose weight fast, practice this..."square shopping." Meaning, shop the grocery store on the four outer parameters (walls). Stay out of the isles. Anything that's good for you is contained on the four outer walls. Anything that's bad for you is contained in the isles. Stay out of the isles and exercise moderately and you'll always be in great shape.

Same class of enzymes actually, similar activity. I have a PhD too and teach the stuff, medicinal chemistry etc. Both those enzymes can be used for tenderising meat for example. By the way, if you're giving enzymes orally then you're really not doing much as the things break down in stomach acids pretty easily...that's why you won't find many used as actual drugs and will find them sold unregulated as supplements for people with more money than sense.

Now that is funny. At least the laughing will burn a few calories.
Of course, once you have posted this all your other posts are invalid.

Challenge me on any of it. I dare you.

Digestive enzymes such as Bromelain have been used with great success for years in inflammatory/arthritic conditions. We also find they aid in digestion in Candida cases. Unfortunately, with Candida cases, the patient must follow a strict low-carb, no sugar diet (yeast food). Papaya Enzyme (papain) is loaded with fructose and will cause the Candida patient to suffer more gastrointestinal pain/discomfort/bloating. High end, enteric-coated Bromlean will not, and will most certainly survive stomach acids. The enteric are best used in arthritic, the non-enteric are best used with Candida related digestive problems. The enzymes work with stomach acid and bile to form chyme. And they digest the yeast cells in the gut where they [the yeast cells] don't belong and as such are causing disease.

So you're an automechanic and have a PHD in neuropathy? Do you work at Mac D's too?

You do realize the only reason why you and others are going to jump on Prince is because you feel inferior to him? Take a good look in the mirror and realize that.

You could say he's insecure for posting what he does and what he has in terms of degrees, but he's not the one calling out ******** like you are because you view someone to be better than you. I love the internet.

Also, @RockerGuy

If they both really do have PhDs, they don't need references: THEY GET REFERENCED. Same goes for MDs...but not as much as PhDs.

Now that is impressive. I started at 10 years old when my mother bought me a 30 lb York starter set but you're about 4 years older than I am.

We can take this off topic if you like but part of my research was making new drugs for arthritis. Those enzymes do nothing except relieve you of your cash and maybe have a placebo effect. Your stomach is pH1-2, in-between being broken down by stomach acid and digestive enzymes in the gut (that break apart amino acids of proteins and hence other enzymes) and being ****** out of your body there really isn't much left over to do diddly squat. Enzymes and proteins are terrible drugs unless you're injecting them.

But people pay huge money for placebos and then tell all their friends how wonderful they are to continue the cycle. All the bodybuilding crap comes to mind when the chemical superstars endorse snake oil and people think they used what their picture is next to in the adds.

Interesting info JC.

I can solve all this right now. Everyone posting any thoughts on diet advice can post their picture to see what results they have gotten with their knowledge. That would be the only valid reference showing theory put into action and not a doctorate from Coconut College.

What do you all think? LOL

Agreed...I'll post later when not in class.

Awesome!

Now to get some young ladies to post advice!

Like hell it's going to happen. There's like a 1:5 female to male ratio for riders....it's like online games; MMORPGs -> many men online role playing girls
And I think the only semi fit chick we have on these boards is sushi? lol

JC He did say one thing that made sense. He mentioned enteric coated usage, which would survive the stomach acid; that's the point of the coating as I'm sure you know. Most of the other stuff, I have to agree with you, I don't even know where you would go to get a PhD in homeopathy etc. They claim it's medicine, so shouldn't it be a M.D.?
