Can any experienced KIJIJI sellers give me their opinion please?

I always thought of them as other people selling the same thing - checking to see if you still have your item. One step away from a price check I guess.

I think those stupid inquiries make it easy to be a buyer, because sellers seem so relieved to deal with a rational person. All my sales have been somewhat of an exercise in frustration, but all my purchases have been smooth, easy, quick and fair.

Although I never said no text I did say contact through phone or email. I have noticed that 90% of of the numbers which have been texting have all been from either Quebec or the west coast. None of ever left reply info.

At the end of the day it's just business; you're looking to make a sale, not friends. Simply deal with as much nonsense as you'd like, and realize that the less you tolerate, the more difficult it may be to sell. That being said, there are obvious ***-hats who, in my opinion, are not worth the trouble to deal with.

Receiving questions where the answers are noted in the ad is certainly not a deal-breaker. It's an email, and it's easy enough to copy details from the post or just type them out again. Could just be a buyer who is interested in what you have and only skimmed the ad. Hell, I asked a seller for furniture dimensions once, completely missing them being posted in the ad :P

I think a lot of doppy Kijiji questions come from buyers that just dont think clearly and understand the sales process.

These are the same people that think everything works like a Moroccan Bazzar. If somebody states in the ad, "if its still posted, its still for sale" asking if its still for sale is rediculous.
Like wondering if you'll deliver miles away, at your expense, and negoiate a discount without them ever viewing the product.

End result is, if stupid questions bother you, and dealing with not bright people is an inconvenience , Dont go into sales. not everyone is prepared for it.

Oh Sir, you speak the truth. I have to deal enough of that at work and I'm not even in the sales department.

When selling vehicles, I actually ignore the "I'll take it" e-mails as I price mine right for a sale after a review/test drive, not for sale sight unseen. I've had a person negotiate discounts without seeing the car and we agreed on the price before he even came over for a test drive but he brought the cash and took the car.

Is she Asian? Because I think I've seen that picture. Ya, she is a bit porky.

Smells like a pile of scammy B.S.

Got a few of these while trying to sell my boat. Usally the grammer is bad, I've had these so called buyers claiming they were from Quebec, Indonesia, Wisconsin, etc. Next time I need to send them "tub Girl"
