Just curious what members here have planned to do Calabogie on the 14-15th?

And also some gearing suggestions for that track on a 600 (636CC)? I just did Mosport on stock gearing and it was a good setup for that long straight, however Calabogie doesn't have that long of a straight. So I am thinking of gearing a little bit, I have a -1 front in my tool box that I can slap on...Otherwise Id have to order a rear sprocket if I want anything other then that...

Split the difference between Mosport and TMP, Shannonville, Grand Bend (same gearing works for all of those) will be pretty close.

I think you will be fine for your first time there just putting on the -1 on front.

Your can ride TMP and Grand bend in 1st gear on stock gearing LOL.....I ran +7 at TMP so I guess -1 it is

i would, and have. though im sort of capable of taking another bike with me as well.

So can I, my truck can fit 4 bikes but only 2 seats up front, I just dont like driving for 4-5 hours straight. Especially since its a sprinter with cube box, the seats do not reline at all ughhhh....

Agree with this - Both Jay and I ride the same bike and we have different gearing for most tracks, Minus 1 in the from seems a good configuration for your first time there

-1 is fine. Out tomorrow on the RSV4 on stock gearing, -1 on front of the 600 for tuesday.

From the parking lot... :p

Thanks guys the 2013 being a 636cc has quite a bit more jam down low compared to my 09 ZX6R, and needs less gearing for me because of that. Id still like a little if I cant use all of 6th there, so -1 it is. Installed it, cleaned and lubed the chain, plus an oil change. Im almost ready!

With a -1 up front you may touch 6th on the back straight, but thats about it. I run a +3 rear there and rarely find, if ever, I am in between gears for the corners. The flow of bogie is such a mixed bag of corners (read awesome) so your gearing will probably be last thing on your mind for day 1.
I am hoping to make it up there for the Sunday.

Johnny , we should talk. im looking at these days, and looking at tagging up with someone as well. Im no expert by any means but ive gotten a lot of pointers at bogie in my 15 or so days there. its a special place and the lines you take there really dictate how dangerous the track can potentially be. Bogie backstraight is a good length btw, but I don't change gearing much compared to tmp.

Just a quick note to say that Pro6 is running calabogie track days 14, 15 and 16. The 16th is pretty open. If you get the chance, stay the extra day. You will get 50% more track time as they will eliminate yellow group and just run green and red (yellows have to pick between green and red). You are on the track every 20 mins ... tiring but way fun ;)
