Buy Canadian (not American)-Buy this not that!

Booing is possibly the oldest example of showing displeasure in a restrained and civil manner. Nobody throws stones , shoots at someone or tries to beat up the opposing team. It’s sport . It goes back to medieval jousting , and it’s meant to get under the skin of the opposition. In a harmless way unless you count hurt feelings .
Taylor Swift , the most powerful woman in America was booed at superbowl, her reaction, passed looking a bit confused , was to smile and laugh about it . Booing is not childish, it’s a public display of disapproval in a very civil and meaningful manner .

The US crowd today was respectful of our anthem. Although, there were likely more Canadians in the stands than Yanks. If we play them again on Thursday, I expect the Americans to be more boisterous

I believe the game is in Boston to we will be outnumbered by 100:1

This is absolutely bizarre. Trump is spouting, almost verbatim, fact checked and totally dismissed Russian talking points. I’m not a believer in conspiracy theories but it’s hard not to wonder if there’s really something Putin has on this orange dumbass?

That Trump cozies up to dictators that he thinks present a powerful image, and screws over traditional allies, isn't anything new, and shouldn't surprise anyone.

This is now incredibly dangerous though. Latest statement “Zelensky is a dictator”. Ukraine can’t have meaningful elections since a huge population have left the country and several regions are still occupied. A democratic vote showed the country favoured elections after conflict was finished.

Trump is amplifying Russian disinformation posts word for word. I’m not really sure how fellow republicans can honestly stand around backing the lunacy up for much longer?

Because they have control. That 'trumps' every other consideration.

We continue to make progress. Took some searches and we continue to look at what we buy, latest....

Cat food is now all processed in Canada, albeit from domestic and foreign content but we no longer buy the made is USA stuff.
I would have a couple of energy drinks per week, the ones I like are USA, so none for now.
Switched back from US almond milk to Canadian dairy for my coffee.
Some fruit I like is currently all from USA, so I am skipping it.
A wanted a new cold weather extension cord, all they had in stock were made in USA, I will continue to use my old one.
It is small but we needed a new plastic lid for the cat food cans. Made in USA vs Made in China, China got our money.

A political pundit has suggested Zelensky has played Trump. By baiting him into a war of words he’s shown that Trump is not a neutral in any further mediation and could not be an honest broker.

Not sure about that but it may fit as Zelensky is a pretty savvy operator in terms of juggling different leaders right now.

I hope the Europeans take the US’s place as they aren’t as big a pushover as Trump seems to be.

Another pundit has also suggested that Trump’s behaviour shows that Putin has won the second Cold War. The pivot to using disinformation to sway public opinion and promote instability has worked and this is the pivotal moment. A large proportion of the public are susceptible to suggestion from propaganda outlets promoting all sorts of non-mainstream theories. Politicians then pander to those theories to capture that proportion of the electorate and these politicians are mostly from right wing parties. This isn’t just Trump, it’s happened around the world.
