Burrito Boyz Tuesday Nights 4.0

my first time there yesterday..
u dont have to push.. just say excuse me and we step out of your way. but if someone doesnt, then that is a problem and needs to be rectified. what else are people supposed to do? stand on the road?

The group of 250's leaving the place around 10:30.. WTF is wrong with you? revving your bikes at a red light when you are about to make a left turn? what does that really accomplish?

All I ask for is a little order on the sidewalk for my community. Thanks.

Not sure where you witnessed any lack of "order" last night given you don't seem to have been there. I was there for the first time last night from about 8:45 to 10:15 and didn't see anything resembling "disorder" at all. In fact, with the exception of a couple of loud revs while a few left, everyone was great and respectful of residents. In fact, numerous residents stopped to talk and admire the bikes.

I live in the neighborhood and no longer walk near Burrito Boyz on Tuesdays when I see your larger groups because while you park your bikes very neatly (thank you) the same cannot be said for yourselves. Your larger gatherings crowd the sidewalk. People either need to grin and bare it and push through, say excuse me and push through, or find alternate routes. All I ask for is a little order on the sidewalk for my community. Thanks.
If you find it too hard to say excuse me and ask people to move out of your way, then that's your problem and not ours.

that was my fault. I let the 250 monkeys out of their cadge. Had to hang my head in shame after I realized what I had started. 250 owners are so silly.

Not last night but a few prior tuesdays. And you guys park your bikes great, my issue is not with bike parking it's with body parking.

And that is the problem, I shouldn't have to need to say excuse me, the sidewalk should be clear so people can just walk without excuse me's or pushing.

The riders have just as much right to stand on the sidewalk as you do. Just because you live in the neighbourhood doesn't mean you own the joint.

Do you expect the roadway to be free of all other cars when you drive in your neighbourhood too?

Once you come back to reality, either ask people to move, walk around, or dont come by at all.

so you feel you should have a god given right to a clear side walk. sounds like your expecting a public sidewalk to be like your private walkway. how do you feel if some one is walking towards you. should they clear off the side walk and keep your path un obstructed. what about those who walk 3 wide at a slow pace which is even harder to get past. should they keep the side walks clear for you. I'm sure if someone saw you approaching they made room for you but if you approach upon someone looking the other way and expect them to get out of your way like the have eyes on the back of their head you cannot be reasoned with.

I'm sorry if i do not show sympathy towards you. if we were blocking a private walkway I would side with you but this is not the case. I think you have made a great decision by walking elsewhere on Tuesday since you cannot handle some friendly people on the street.

I decided to bring this to your attention because I assumed you were a reasonable group of people but I guess I was wrong. What I ask for is maybe more order (neat line when ordering, maybe stand a bit closer to Burrito Boyz) instead of all over the place like shrapnel. I don't drive but if I did I wouldn't expect the roadways to be clear just that people follow the rules of the road. If someone is walking towards me they should continue to do so. People who walk three wide at a slow pace shouldn't be doing that to anyone. I can handle friendly people on the street I just got sick of walking on the road to get to my destination. I guess I will go to the owner of Burrito Boyz with my concerns and he can bring it to the employees attention. Thanks for your time.

This may be a better approach as there is never a consistent group of people at these meets, people show up randomly according to their own schedules. If you really want to see some changes you should discuss it with the establishment. Perhaps they will put up those line filtering posts like a lot of Tim Horton's have to organize the line ups. Although I suspect this isn't going to help really because the people on the sidewalks usually already have their burritos and are checking out bikes, talking to people etc. While you're at it though can you ask them to pave that parking lot? Parking in the gravel is a pain - a lot of people with bikes don't want to do it - this may actually improve the situation as I'm sure more of the bikes will be in the lot and less of them parked on the street which might mean less traffic on the sidewalk. Thanks :D

The stuff people complain about is unreal. Let's think about this for a second... What will the owner of BB do? I'll just throw a number out there. A hundred burrito eating customers vs. one guy who doesn't think he should have to open his mouth to say excuse me.

A lot of locals walk through there with dogs and small children. I've never seen any of them look worried or upset.

From what I saw on Tuesday there seems to be quite a few horse owner's in the area as well. :D

NO complaints for 1,825 days....BUT wait!!!!!.....now LLM89 has the FIRST big one......(such DRAMA)

Are you kidding? I live in the area as well and all I have to say is WELCOME TO SUMMER IN PORT CREDIT. I can't believe you would post this here. If you know they show up on Tuesday stay away. Every other weekend something is going on in town that Clogs up the streets, why pick on this group?

They should do that. Gravel is kind of unsightly anyways. But as I don't drive I've never felt a need to bring that to the owners attention. Maybe if more bikers/drivers did it would happen.

I posted this here because it would reach some of the people who attend and I figured bring it to their attention first don't just go running to the owner, etc. If you read my quote that you quoted I do no longer walk near burrito boyz on Tuesdays.

redridernl :
They could be biting their tongues like I was.

GSXMAER: I haven't lived here my whole life and I only found this forum recently.

Anyways, thanks for listening. I'll bring it to his attention. I'll bring up the gravel thing as well but it would make more sense coming from someone familiar with vehicles. In the meantime I'll continue to avoid the area on Tuesdays, I just didn't want to walk on the road anymore. Please excuse the blue, I didn't know how to change my writing colour on here.

There are some people whose mission in life is to complain about everything that other people do. Sometimes it's because the things that other people are doing are causing a minor inconvenience (that would appear to be the case here), sometimes it's because they can't stand seeing other people doing something they want to do.

Obviously it's best for everyone to keep the sidewalk as clear as possible but with the number of people in the area, it's never going to be completely clear. You can't expect the QEW to be completely clear of other traffic just because you have to get somewhere on time. Equally ... you can't expect a sidewalk to be completely clear of other pedestrians just because YOU have to walk past.

Folks going to this meet ... try to keep the sidewalk clear. But equally, LLM89 ... just say "excuse me" if people are in the way. We don't bite.
