Hey everyone,
so a buddy of mine bought a brand new 2011 Z1000 a couple of months ago.
He went back to the same dealership to buy spools (with framesaver pucks attached) a couple of weeks after buying the bike.
He realized last week that his exhaust was bottoming out onto the spool sliders. The tab that the slider screws into has broken the welds and is just hanging there.
He went back to the dealership, and they say it's his fault and not covered under warranty. Supposedly it happens all the time...
He bought the bike new, and bought the sliders from the same dealership. No one ever told him something like this was likely to happen...
Is there anything he can do? Or is he at fault because it's an aftermarket part?
Any and all advice welcome.
