brake check on the 401

I think of my bike more like a sharp swift scalpel, and that car as a heavy sledge hammer.

Scalpel vs. sledge hammer, my money's on the hammer

Any fool can use a hammer to most of its full potential, but very very few can use a scalpel to its full potential.

who the **** "accidentally" goes 40 over

When you upgrade, you'll find out. No offense as I had a GS before. It's ridiculously easy to go from 60 to 100 and the wind protection on supersports/hypersports/superbikes are much better than the GS500F or GS500E so your sense of speed is diminished.

So you are saying I shouldn't call "daddy" and taking him on @200kmph literally I tried catching up before we reached traffic again and not even in a lane on the bloody marker between cars.. Have you any sense of the danger posed by such idiots, not to mention the crack down it would bring on us if an innocent person got killed??

IF ANY ONE EVER CATCHES ME DO THAT **** PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MYSELF AND CALL THE COPS. I would rather be alive with out a license than 6feet under.

If you are suicidal that's your right. Trying to take others with is NOT.

I'm at a loss for words. You must either have a superman or God complex. Are you of middle Eastern descent (including the countries west of China not generally included in "middle East")? I've met somebody like you before whose ethics were very culturally relative...problem was they weren't the ones from Canada. Nobody liked him. =P

get on an SS and try to keep it under 40 over.

Game over for litre bikes.

I'm gonna guess you're right.

Also, lifted vehicles are legal depending on the bumper height and how much of the wheels stick out from the wheel well.
There are certain ways of lifting a vehicle however that are not legal.
I had a lifted truck for a couple years and never once had an issue with it.

Agreed, if you're not confident in your handling of a scalpel, don't put yourself at risk.

Let me get this straight. You saw a rider fly past you at what you assumed was 200km/h. You gave chase and tried to catch up. Upon failing to do so, you called the police? What speed did you ride at? I hope you weren't speeding because you could have killed someone (/sarcasm). If you weren't speeding, how did you expect to catch up?

2. What are the chances of a motorcyclist killing or severely injuring someone? When is the last time this has happened in the GTA, or anywhere else?

Legal and insurable (or affordably insurable) are 2 different things.

And that's why high cc ss bikes are silly IMO. You can't use them to potential at all and why the saying "it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast that a fast bike slow" makes so much sense.

to each their own. It's good to have choice. Diversity is a part of life.

There was a question earlier about if lifted vehicles are legal.

Oh, and if I lifted my Ram through the dealer I could still easily afford insurance... And I'm not wealthy.

Why don't you swap yours for a 250? Enough power to hit 120... and technically, that's all you need on the street - right?

after my recent purchase of my 600 ss I agree. It's too much let alone anything bigger. That said I also agree with ride one and try to keep it under 40 over :D

Possibly getting a 125, actually. My sig says I'm interested in a trade.

the power is useful in overtaking maneuvers, and also on backroads...

I think this thread needs a brake check.

I'm pretty sure a 300lb metal block traveling at 100km/h has a high chance of killing or severely injuring someone. I know a rock weighing probably 50 grams at 100 km/h hurts when it hits me...
