Bold, iPhone, or Android (HTC / Samsung)?

But then I've taken a phone that is already a bigger form factor than I want and making it even BIGGER.

actually, the otterbox is only marginally bigger, but yeah, with protection comes a price. then again, i wouldn't want an iphone without a case either.

i am so used to the size of the s2x that it is normal to me. to each his own.

every apple fan boi denies it, but don't be surprised if the screen gets bigger on the next iphone iteration. . .

I've seen Samsung Android offerings in the size I'm looking for, but not with Rogers. I like the size of my Torch and the iPhone and yes, have heard the rumours of a 4" screen on the next generation...

I simply can't get past the large size of all the leading Android phones.

I'm an app developer, and an avid BlackBerry user. I love my Bold 9900, and will be getting a BB10 phone.

Don't buy one, unless you absolutely need a keyboard.

If you can wait, wait for BB10. If not, get an iPhone or Galaxy Nexus. Both parents have an iPhone 4, and I picked up a Galaxy Nexus recently for dev work.

Bud, I understand you were at the BB DevCon in Toronto recently, and some of the guys were impressed with your work.

I assume you have a BB10 development alpha device.

Can you give a OBJECTIVE unbiased opinion on if the new BB10 OS is any good? What's good about it? Any faults that you can detect? Is this OS competitive with the Apple and Google offerings?

It appears the DevCon series of seminars are well supported and the developers are excited about this as the sessions are jammed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that RIM will have sale success.

Well I caved and bought an iPhone... actually I bought two (a 4S for me and a 4 for my wife). The deal was good and it made sense; a solid device (a requirement for work) that does it all well and they work fantastically together and with my son's iPod Touch.

Yes, there's things I don't like about it that would be better with Android and BB, but overall, this thing seems to be the best device for me.

One thing that is very obvious; using many of the same apps on the iPhone that I had on the BB shows that many of the apps were designed for iPhone and MODIFIED for BB. So much better on the iPhone.

Thanks for all of the opinions.

Now you just need a Mac, if you don't have one yet.

A direction I may well be heading in the new year; the Toshiba I currently use (third one in a row as I liked them) is slowly failing with track pad not working, speakers cutting out and lights burning out. 15 MacBook Pro on the way?
