blackberry 10

Also make sure you're not touching the volume buttons when you go to swipe as the detects are soft and if you press one of them by accident it will decline the call.

Did I mention how much I love my Z30!!!!?? I took it off the charger at 7am yesterday and I still have 40% of life in the battery after a day and a half of use. This thing is nutz, lets see any other smartphone get even comparable battery life. I also have my bluetooth, wi-fi and GPS features all turned on!

Best phone I ever had! It looks like they launched the Z3 today in Asia. That will be a great lower end phone when it reaches north america.

Yup, it's truly an underrated phone.

Battery life is phenomenal. Also the dual stereo speakers sound triple A amazing and still impress me with the sound.

Now that we can run Android apps, my personal app gap is filled.

This is one of the few times I can actually see keeping a phone for more than 1 year.

Koodo is selling the Q5 outright for $150. It's a nice travel phone or a good phone to give to the kids. Running OS 10, it's got a bit of a 'curve' feel to it, but for $150, it's a lot of phone.

Anyone got any ins on the Z30. I'm in oz right now and looking to buy the phone outright.

I know of one guy selling the STA100-5 (that's the Z30 that works on any provider), Sealed and factory unlocked for $450 outright.

Jump on it, Z30 is an amazing sleeper phone that people are finally starting to notice. Pretty much on a daily basis, there are several reviews on the forums like this one from former Android and iPhone owners.

Also, Rogers just dropped the Z30 price to $0 on a 2 year. Ironically, my cousin just ordered 3 Z10's from rogers yesterday for her and family members. Told her to Call Rogers up and trade it for the Z30!

In my opinion, they only needed to release the Q10 and Z30. These are completely different animals with the current software than they were in January last year. It's like a whole different phone.

Different strokes for different folks. I've found the people that have made the change to Blackberry devices use them as phones first and gadgets second. The consensus is the battery life and call quality alone is worth the switch. Everything else is on par, give or take, with it's android counterpart.

Cool thing I tested out the other day, the USB Mounting feature of the Z30. Transferred some files (2-3GB) from a USB, to the Phone without the need for a cloud storage solution or computer. Very cool. Haven't personally tried it with keyboard and mouse, but some folks online have.

Oops! Was out getting lunch around 2, probably forgot to lock the phone before putting it in my pocket. Obviously BB10 spellchecker failed LOL.

I'm going to disagree with you there. I'm a BlackBerry die hard, but I've gotten used to all touch now and I won't use a Z30. If it weren't for the Z10 I'm not sure where I'd end up.

Don't get me wrong, the Z30 is a GREAT device. I wouldn't mind some of the upgraded features, but it's just too big for me.

Thx for checking nfq. I decided to bite the bullet and just ordered one up from Telestra down here.

For comparison sake :

Z10 : 130 x 65.6 x 9 mm (5.12 x 2.58 x 0.35 in)

Z30 : 140.7 x 72 x 9.4 mm (5.54 x 2.83 x 0.37 in)

Z30 is less than half inch longer, less than 0.3 inch wider and barely heavier. But its an oh so premium phone in many ways, battery life, speakers, faster, less plasticky, and feels waaaay better holding it in the hand.

As much as I enjoyed using my Z10, You couldn't pay me enough to ditch the Z30.

Physical size isn't the issue. It's screen size. Try holding your Z30 in your right hand, across the bottom like you were typing something, then reach up with your thumb and try to tap the icon in the top left. You can't do it. Or at least I can't but maybe you and Michael Jordan share a glove size. The Z30 is a two handed phone for most people, and that's an issue for me.

You're strange.

No problems on a q10 and z30.

Yeah I waited to see if it would fix itself before restarting my phone, but that did the trick and it's fine now.
