Bike that has TC and ABS?

I will never buy another street bike without ABS. The new systems just don't have any downsides that I can see - except added cost. Bosche's 9MP brake system is incredible, as seen on the new Ducatis and Aprilias (not sure what MV is using and BMW is using the previous-gen Bosch IIRC).

FYI somehow we all left out Ducati's 1199 and the upcoming 899 which AFAIK both have ABS and TCS.

I wouldn't label anything "best of class" until you've tried them back to back. I'd even rather have the CBR than the S1000RR, personally.

Isnt the Honda abs system the oldest and most intrusive?

It worked flawlessly when I tried it but yes it's very basic compared to the 9MP system. For Aprilia at least, the 9MP system can also sense rear lift and deal with it as well as tire lock/slip (AFAIK this is actually not Bosch's design, it's Aprilia's because without the sensors under the seat, you can't sense the forward yaw). Honda's is also quite heavy but it's all relative.

I believe the honda cbr1000 has abs? but 600 i think not. I actually tried both bikes, but without the TC, I feel it's bad for rain. I was riding the 600 in the pouring rain last time, couldn't keep up with the group when my back tire just swings all over the place. Really dislike the feeling when I just want to accelerate and there is no grip :(

mv f3
ducati streetfighter 848

Couldn't you pretty much add bazzaz to any sportbike? I don't know how well it performs

I tried the street fighter, liked the look but hate the seat, so much higher than 848 evo! I can only touch the ground with the tip of my boots
MV just not my character. :(

Moto Guzzi California 1400

I hope this is close enough to a street bike. :-) I mean the custom. The links are for the touring. The custom doesn't have the barn door windshield and the side bags.

need something is a true street or sport, looks more like cruiser to me and i am not used to riding one.

TC, ABS has little to zero effect on your insurance. Engine size has the significant effect on your insurance regardless of brand. Having said that, try Honda VFR 1200.

yes it wont effect. 1200 is a tad bit too much, thanks though

so youve had a 250 and a older carb R6 and now want to hop on a BMW 1000.. awesome, but every single thread youve made is about trying to squeeze every penny you can out of what you are buying or trying to scam insurance companies for USA coverage or canceling policies in the winter.

my advice (which you arent going to listen to) buy a bike and insurance policy you can afford, because i highly doubt you can afford the 5grand a year for the 1000cc bikes.

this isnt ment to piss you off... take my advice, dont take it whatever...but heres more info.

the Daytona 675 is a nice bike, it feels big to sit on.. ive never ridden one but sat on it at the show and it was beauty. honestly, the early 2000"s R6 feels much smaller than the daytona.
check out the new Duke 899, it comes with everything you are looking for and probably will be cheaper than the BMW 1000ss

VFR800 has optional ABS and is easy on insurance. No power settings or TCS, but the bike doesn't need them either. It might get a little squirrely if you're trying to drag a knee in the rain, but losing traction is probably the least of your worries if you're riding like that for a commute.

Dude, that's the whole intention of this thread, I specifically asked because of the high insurance I have to pay for the S1000RR, hence would like to see what other options are out there with cheaper insurance tag.

All your comment is to criticize and promoting negative things about me which is not true. If you have already assumed I woudn't listen you, then why is there the need to post this comment is beyond me.

You are right. Maybe I have just gotten used to the S1000RR

I am going to use it for commute, so i want the safety feature like you find in a car, it will be good during rain and standing water
I have this feature on my bike (Power setings) and have never used it, honestly if you need to use this feature during rain or standing water, you need to go buy a 250

TC and ABS I agree with
