Bike that has TC and ABS?

Hi,

I am looking to buy a bike that has traction control, ABS and preferably power setting. I like the BMW S1000RR a lot since it has all these features, but insurance is crazy expensive (over 5k for me). I am wondering if there is one bike that has some or all these features and has a affordable insurance rate? Only interested in sport or street bikes.

Thanks

And what's your current or last bike owned? Why are you looking for a SS litre bike with as many nannies as possible?

mv f3
ducati streetfighter 848

Couldn't you pretty much add bazzaz to any sportbike? I don't know how well it performs

Rolling burnouts are half the fun of owning a liter bike :D

I would like to hear why traction control, ABS and Power settings is so important to you.

ive heard from guys that use it on the track that its amazing.

It works well, better than nothing but the bikes that have TC from factory are far more advanced than the bazzaz units. I wouldn't rely on it on my 1000 but the 600 it's WFO and let it do it's thing.

I am going to use it for commute, so i want the safety feature like you find in a car, it will be good during rain and standing water

ive test rode the s1000rr already experience is not a concern, ive rode gsxr 1000, zx10r and cbr 1000 before.

i actually just found out the cheapest liter bike insurance believe it or not is RC8 haha.

but bike doesnt have tc or abs

personal preference, please respect my choice.

when i rode the s1000rr it was in the pouring rain, the tc kicks in multiple of times under acceleration and occasionaly standing water and uneven surface on the road, the abs was also activated once. So when i know there are technology like this out there to aid the rider, why cant i choose to have them on my bike for the purpose of commuting. Its like buying a car, most likely you will find abs and tc these days

Can you guys give me some bike suggestions now? I would honestly prefer factory tc and abs just for the confidence. :)

TC, ABS has little to zero effect on your insurance. Engine size has the significant effect on your insurance regardless of brand. Having said that, try Honda VFR 1200.

I do not think I have ever noticed my traction control ever do anything, but then again, I am not a hard rider dragging my knee on public streets. I do love ABS and would not buy a bike without it though. The simple fact that you can just break hard and it stops without locking up is fantastic. Not sure about other bikes, but on my BMW 1200GSA, both ABS and TC can be turned off if I decide to ride without them, giving some flexibility if you are wanting to do something that ABS or TC would prevent you from doing.

Aprilia Caponord, RSV4, Tuono v4. Kawasaki ZX-10R. Large number of BMW bikes. Seems you want a race replica so that narrows it down to RSV4, S1000RR, Tuono v4, MV F3/F4, ZX-10R with options IIRC.

Just to name a few bikes with both.

Thanks man.. out of all those choices, it seems S1000RR is still the best of its class... all the other bikes are also crazy in insurance

are there any 600 that has abs and tc?

I completely respect your choice. ABS and TC are two or three recent additions to motorcycle technology that are long over due. The third is EFI (or better, GDI).
People are trying to bait you into a debate on whether these "nannies" are better. They will come from the perspective of being super skilled riders that are better than you, and they don't need "nannies". They have a 6th sense and super-vision that sees patches of a slippy substance on roads in the rain.

In the real world, no one can out-stop ABS, even in dry. In the real world, there are GM cars, and they leak every possible fluid, that in rain, will drop you while accelerating or stopping. In the real world, under true panic conditions, you will grab too much brake and lock your front or rear. This will happen, and its only a matter of time when it will happens for the first time, and most of those guys then sell their bikes (helmets, leathers and all -see Kijiji).
Commuting is a different world, with different needs. Ignore the opinions of weekend sunshine group riders. They are too cool, they are rebels, they look like motoGP riders, they are under 30, where stupid is so cool.
