I've two bikes with well over one hundred thousand kilometers between them. One I've owned for twelve years, the other four years. Both entirely satisfying. All service work is performed by me. Neither is going anywhere.

Being someone always interested in the numbers I’m curious how the depreciation hits are on bikes in such short turnarounds.

Obviously details aren’t my business but approx % would be curious.

expect book value or less, which (as you no doubt are aware from your previous experience in the biz) depends on make/model, etc. also if you`re trading in an off brand vehicle..say a KTM to BMW. They will be less inclined to offer you much more then book value because they are just gonna turn around and auction it off, they won't add it to their used fleet.

like i said previously, need to factor in the tax savings for a trade in and then apply a superficial number to not dealing with Kijiji types. If it's close then i'll pull the trigger.
